  1. Sorry this is long!! Last night I walked my boys with my friend and her dog in a pretty busy dog walking area. Friends dog was attacked (not a word I used lightly) by a DDB. Managed to get her off him and lad put her on lead. Friends dog injured - fortunately not badly. DDB puller her (young male so fairly strong) owner over trying to get at our dogs. Managed to get him to give his phone number incase of vets bills. This dog has also attacked and badly injured a small dog that we know of. What now? Who do we report to? Again not something I'd do lightly but obviously not isolated incident. Also, friends dog is a real 'victim' dog, he's always the one who gets attacked - I think about 4 or 5 times now he's been injured by other dogs. He was becoming 'fear snappy' (not truly fear aggressive) and was so much better than another dog goes for him. Anyone have any advice? Thanks - sorry it's long!
  2. 'ello Haven't been around much as I've been so busy, and then I've had no modem since the end of sept so no internet Have managed to pop from time to time so have been thinking of all the folks with poorly dogs and people Also seen some new additions - and some ahem fosters!! No chance to catch up with RMF, but I'm sure it has been very random!! Enjoy your riding mrs gemstone - I miss it terribly and love seeing pics of folks on horses with big smiles - which you always have! Timmy Has he ever been stung? Friends dog is now paranoid about flies having been stung by a wasp. Only reason they knew he'd been stung was the wasp was caught in his coat when he came out of woods really worried. With a different coat friend wouldn't have known what the problem was. Had nasty incident on our walk last night which I'm going to post about in it's own thread - my boys are fine but friend's dog not, so would apprieciate advice
  3. Alex, I hadn't realised that I'd not posted here, but I've been thinking of you and Milly She looks so amazing in the pics you posted of your walk, and obviously was having a wonderful time My continued good thoughts for Milly, you and your other wonderful dogs
  4. Happy Birthday Henry, Mr Gorgeous!! Sorry it's a day late but maybe you can have a second day of birthday and have more sossijes!!
  5. So relieved to see Pixi is home. Hope she recovers quickly and is none the worse for her night away, poor thing Thank goodness for kind man and his springers
  6. This is good advice from the BBC website Your dishwasher is faulty and under the sale of goods act you are entitled to get it repaired. The retailer is responsible, not the manufacturer - though they will try and fob you off! Hope this helps
  7. Well done flyball dog Wispa Hello chickens RMproudmumF - Finn and I have been agilitying this weekend and he's been an even bigger star than normal We've come home with a 13th, 3 7ths, a 5th and a 3rd which I am just so pleased with, especially as we are grade 3 which has really big classes, and some of the classes were combined with other grades too. He really tried had for me anddidn't put a foot wrong all weekend I luffs my boy (I luff Billy too of course, but he stayed with friends which he much prefers to agility!! RMplantF - I'm going to Power Plant tonight at the botanical gardens - it's a light and sound installation thing and it looks great!
  8. Never been happier to hear a dog has a brocken leg!!! So pleased the news is good and Nog has 'just' injured himself
  9. My thoughts with Nog and you Can't imagine what you are going through right now. Hoping that tomorrow brings positive news for you all
  10. Have a wonderful day tomorrow Abby & Kev Hope the sun shines and the day is all you want it to be
  11. Danish Design dog beds are lovely and have lots of different beds to choose from
  12. Happy birthday Polly 14 is a very impressive age. I didn't realise she was a rescue as pulis are pretty unusual I know rubbish it is to have bad neighbours - my upstairs neighbours are constantly shouting and fighting and throwing stuff (including on one particularly horrible evening each other ). I also have a nice but very fussy neighbour who is desperate to have his huge 4x4 parked right outside his house and will move it 1 car space nearer if opportunity arrises! Billy has just climbed up on the sofa and wriggled up next to me between me and the sofa back He often sits on the sofa but will curl up at the other end to me and doesn't really do being cuddly so it was extra nice , specially as I'm not having a good day
  13. Well done - that's fantastic!!!! Very impressive! Kiera looks smaller in these pics than I thought she was! Has she measured into medium? I always thought she was fairly tall and leggy!! Oh and very beautiful!
  14. Haqppy Gotcha day Handsome Max
  15. Glad Milly has had something to eat and drink. Billy didn't eat anything for about 3 days after his last op - including lamb stew which is his fave. Worried the life out of me Hope the pale gums is nothing to worry about and she is feeling better very soon
  16. Hope Jack is on the mend very soon Finn this morning threw up a huge amount of grass when he went out first thing. I was shocked by how much there was and did wonder if it could have come out the other way, so they do these things themselves too Rolling thing he does sounds normal - Billy lurcher does it too
  17. So sorry it's such rubbish news I'm sure Milly will adapt though and manage. Thinking of you
  18. I'm so sorry Spike had a wonderful life with you and the tales of his days out always made me smile. Thinking of you all
  19. Thanks Drinks bottle not a daft ides at all - know the sound you mean and it was very similar. Unfortunately I don't have any fizzy drinks!!! Not heard anything else today, so hoping it was just a random one off!
  20. Happy Birthday Abby Have a lovely day
  21. Thanks Di. That's pretty much what I did. No sign of anything weird this morning - all bulbs present and correct , nothing in the garden... Really wierd! House hasn't burnt down or collapsed in any other way so might have to just put it down to weird and wonderful house things!
  22. No, not sure at all! Just what it sounded like! Branch is a possibility but I think it was too sharp a crack to be that... More like a firecracker (which is possible but unlikely in my area). Also seemed to be inside the house. No sign of fire or any more problems so might go to bed and investigate further in the morning. Terrified the sweet **** out of me!
