  1. I love my birkenstock pappillios. have a look at this website. uneeda apparently birkoflor is a durable acrylic and polyamide felt fiber material with a smooth leather-like finish. As opposed to Birkibuc which is a textured Birko-Flor made to look and feel like a velvety nubuck. And of course, a birkoboiler which is a large thing that you plug in for hot water!!!!
  2. thanks guys! off to get baking!!
  3. ooh yes pics please. you have GOT to love ebay for clothes. carp if you're selling. great if you're buying. daughter has junior prom type thingy in a couple of weeks. i was highly delighted to get her a brand new with tags italian designer prom frock /evening dress and a pair of beaded silk mules. again brand new. together, i paid 11.98. hahaha!!! which reminds me: i have a couple of things of hers i cannot be bothered to ebay for pennies but would hate to 'give away' at a bootfair to horrible people (sounds irrational but you know what I mean). I should put them on the swap shop thingy here perhaps....
  4. right. thought i'd found the recipe book online but it wasnt. have a panasonic sd251 breadmaking machine. have to be honest: ive never used it. but understand from OH that all you need to do is throw everything in. cannot be bothered driving to the shop to buy the bread we've run out of. and need it for lunches tomorrow. has anyone any idea of a basic recipe for it?? thanks ps cannot ask OH because he is conveniently in Dubai for the next few weeks. it is ok for some!
  5. knowing where your parents live jackie this sounds like a load of blx. i cant see how you can make complaints about dogs barking whilst secured on their own land. I mean, noise wise yes, if you're a neighbour. but walking past? They need to get hold of the person at the council and get the complaint spelled out to them. what have the council asked them to do? i'd say getting a body round there is vital. dont know about SA lady but i didnt think dylan and ben had much access to laneside? just a gate isnt there? I remember the garden being slightly set back. ps you want to see the kerfuffle that goes on in our new place should anyone come up the lane! My three are the advance guard, hurling themselves at the garden gate. A bundle of baying joy! Their noise starts the terriers off which in turn alerts the free range rotties to come and investigate... Indian takeaway delivery driver rings me from the car when he's outside - what a whuss!
  6. oops. just saw that blackmagic put the cole thread up earlier in the thread. still dodgy though. as are the 20 day residential we-train-your-dog-for-you courses. imo.
  7. regarding the trish neal article: she's not the first. when i was 'researching' flexpetz I came across this website and these guys... jan cole associates rents trained dogs interesting that she's running a boarding kennels too: visions of her subletting out the residents!!!
  8. Useful stuff there Ian. To be fair: I banged off an email to them last night and at 0510 i got a reply. yes they have my money and account is completely clear. i have been credited 8/51 (how do they come up with that?!) for inconvenience. my 'issue' has been passed to the broadband department so they can sort it. i should ring them on 0871.... well. i cant ring them can i? havent got a working phone! and the only thing i DO have is broadband.... its the phone and the login that are up the spout. so why the broadband dept is going to sort it, god only knows!!! have got my mum on it.... she's hell on a monday morning so they are for it!!!!
  9. thanks guys luckily enough my mum rang me and she was able to ring them for me account is suspended. i'm ***** fuming - paid the whole bill in full on the 28th. havent got a clue what is going on but they are denying all knowdge even though it's left my bank account.

  11. feel like shite driving home with oh and the car in front couldnt help but clip the tiniest baby rabbit cant belive the poor little thing was still alive - flopping across the road from side to back like mad. all legs broken. oh turned round and ran it over again. all that we could do. at least it went quickly...but not quickly enough. no animal should have a moments pain. cant believe how bad this has made me feel
  12. glad you're sorted. in our move i've lost a whole box file of manuals so i'm getting handy at finding what i want - everything from bread maker to washing machine!!!!! you and me both. i'm sitting here watching kids bouncing on 300 squids worth of 12' trampoline - cannot believe these guys didnt put it in the local paper or something!!
  13. my mums singer is ancient: hard to tell without seeing the machine though she says. this site is no good is it? singer manuals
  14. We changed OH's company car because we hated it. Toyota Prius - one of those half electric things. A flaming computer touchscreen!! Not good for a quick getaway. Got an auris now and it yells at you if you do something wrong (ok, well, it 'dings' at you) but its not too bad. I drive a scenic and there are still buttons and knobs i dont know about. Perhaps after 7 years I should read the manual.....!
  15. his own website advertises the fact that currently in development and next on the consumer conveyor belt is a new breed of small dog - he's evidently aiming for the tiny teacup handbag market. one final article: don't think this is: 'typical united states across the pond type stuff' - Brodie's dubious career started in his native UK. brodie this guy is the limit. that's for sure. but dont you end up thinking that if there weren't people with their cheque books open, he'd not have a market? who is really to blame here?
  16. thread and a half this! bit confused if the op has made her openeing statement now or not?! are we set to go yet?! one thing I will say. when someone relatively new comes on and makes such controversial / sweeping comments, you cant help but check out what else they say. well, i cant anyway. its cold and i've nothing better to do while i'm drinking me coffee!! she's a one woman fan club for a trainer thats being promoted over numerous threads. and has worked wonders with her guys. that trainer herself appears to claim that "There is no such thing as an ‘aggressive’ dog". The point being: A number of contradictions going on here. If I was the suspicious type I'd be looking for the agenda.
  17. why on earth is this in controversial? cant believe there is anybody with half a brain who thinks lifestyle and the convicted criminal behind it has anything positive/beneficial going for it. remember, this is the cretin behind flexpetz too. rent a dog. and glow in the dark deer. this article makes for interesting reading.... ITCHMO EXCLUSIVE: Simon Brodie, the controversial founder with a criminal past behind the Allerca hypoallergenic cats, is the CEO of a company that owns Flexpetz, the pet sharing service. Brodie was convicted in the UK of multiple counts of accounting fraud. Ever since his move to the United States, he has been linked to pets or animals in his ventures and is shadowed by a history of failed ventures, lawsuits, unpaid bills, and fraud allegations. He characterized his past by saying “I’ve had some hits, some misses.†How is Simon Brodie linked to Flexpetz? Brodie was appointed the CEO of Tetros, Inc. — a firm purchased by ColdStar Capital — on April 4, 2007. Flexpetz issued a press release on April 10 which described itself as a wholly owned subsidiary of Tetros, who are both owned by ColdStar Capital. ColdStar, who lists its president as Jonathon Nicholson, is based out of the Cayman Islands. When we talked with Brodie, he flatly denied having any knowledge about ColdStar Capital. When asked about the SEC filing that lists him as CEO of Tetros, Brodie retracted his statement, but would not provide a phone number for Nicholson. The reference to ColdStar Capital was removed from the Flexpetz website on Thursday, the same day we spoke with Simon Brodie. Add $22,000 exotic “Ashera†cats that haven’t been seen. Simon Brodie is also the founder of Allerca (which is selling hypoallergenic cats for thousands of dollars) and also the man behind the supposedly unique “Ashera†cats. Brodie is seeking to set up franchises to sell these “Ashera†cats. However, the cat breeder community says that the cats are not new. They say that the cat depicted on Brodie’s site is the Savannah breed already in existence. In fact Brodie’s company web site does not identify the cat as a Savannah and refused to show pictures of the actual breed until the franchises have been launched. Mainstream media such as the New York Times and Time magazine have picked up the hypoallergenic cat story and Time went as far as to call it one of the best inventions of 2006. Even murkier past A Boston Globe article sheds more light into Brodie’s past. Former associates have cast doubts about Simon Brodie’s new venture based on the past of its founder. His latest legal troubles include a $285,000 federal tax lien placed on him last February by the Internal Revenue Service — about the same time Allerca was evicted from its headquarters in downtown San Diego, which was also Brodie’s home, for failing to pay rent. A ColdStar Capital press release describes Brodie in a more favorable light: Mr. Simon Brodie, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer has over 20 years of international management, sales, marketing and trouble-shooting experience. He has managed divisions of multinational corporations and has guided startup companies from start-up through acquisition. Mr. Brodie has worked with organizations including United Kingdom’s National Health Service, Barclays Bank, HSBC, National Freight, Computer Sciences Corporation and JP Morgan. In 2004, he established companies to operate the new concept of high-priced domestic “lifestyle pets†which has resulted in worldwide acclaim for this new sector of the multi-billion dollar pet industry. and for the sake of fairness, simon brodie has set up his own website to 'clear his nam' and put his own pov across simonbrodie.com

  19. that does happen here! google or search on ebay for either lahore, pakistani or karachi bells. think these are what ive got. certainly look like they'd do the trick if held together by a split ring and a lobster / trigger clip. buy these seperately or get the set from people like this guy... trigger and split ring combo
  20. chastened because shes just beaten the crap out of him - and he deserved it!!! Even worse, when wendy had finished with hi, Twigg gave him what for too! Girls united and all that! These little terrier things are brilliant arent they? Might be tiny but she flies through the air like something out of 'crouching tiger hidden dragon' making the most amazing snarling raaaring noises.
  21. what do you get if you cross a snooty blonde lurcher with a brindle minx with attitude.... Then throw in a hairy black idiot.....? the answer is............................... this!! Don't worry. I've not been conducting mad breeding experiements. she might look like a hoicked up hound furball but she's just wendy from next door. who likes to come for a visit every day. From 8am to 8pm if we'd let her!! Happy for her to stay. She fits the colour scheme after all!! Oz says hello. In a pretty rooode way. 10 seconds after this pic was taken you can guess what happened.... Raaar! and a suitably chastened Oz tries to be more polite
  22. this made me laugh. i found my old diving weight belt in our house move. Considered for a moment whether putting it round a delinquent lurcher, whilst not solving the zero recall problem, would slow him down considerably. just a thought, and all. Back on topic: child for sure.
  23. what would you be telling me if i was having a panic attack when there was no need?! take him over thursday. cop a sicky friday from the bad curry you had on the thursday night and then you've got the whole long weekend to be in attendance if/when needed. easy!
  24. certainly dont wash it. dont even take it back. just bin it. although i miss my nan dreadfully i'm so glad i no longer have to deal with care homes. the worse memory of which was the night they rang me to tell me she'd got out of bed and walked out of the door at midnight in her nightie - police were out looking for her, cut a long story short, they had put her to bed in the wrong room. it was another lady who'd 'escaped' on a lighter note, the lact of tact is priceless. nan buying me the longest skirt in the world for christmas and patting me on the hand and confiding 'i know it looks long darling but i thought you'd take it up widthways'. !!!!!!
