  1. Have to agree that if they were a bad 'un alive they're still a bad 'un when dead. Nothing has changed except that you no longer have to look or speak to them. I also hate it when these types of people are made into some sort of angel just because they've died. But I do know that when it comes to family funerals and attending them, things can get complicated. You might not have liked/ had any respect for the dead relative but there are the live relatives to consider and sometimes it is better to just attend and bite your tongue. You can always leave straight after the event and not attend the wake afterwards .... or attend the wake and get blissfully plastered

  4. Ordered 2 pairs of shoes on Monday 6th December, despatched on 7th December and still not here. The company won't even check up on the delivery until 10 working days have gone by. I could have walked to the warehouse and fetched them myself by now
  5. Sam, so sorry to read about Gracie Please pass on to your mum - she's such a lovely lady and must be devastated. Will be thinking of you all tomorrow
  6. If it's a death at home then it's call the GP. They will certify death. There are certain rules and regs. about sudden and unexpected deaths and also if the patient has/ has not been seen recently by their GP. And I don't think it morbid or odd at all - far better to be prepared and know what to do. to you all - at the end of the day this is Mr H's dad.
  7. Good luck with getting your house finished and the furniture in - you do pick your times My mum has been left with that problem since having her last stroke, almost 2 years ago. It does make for some strange conversations as she tells us she's been upstairs - that would be very difficult as her residential home is all one level Do hope that your mum continues to make improvements and that she can come home soon Will keep my fingers, toes and everything else crossed for you Sam I'm finally going to tackle my Christmas shopping - that means going to the shops Wish me luck!
