  1. When Milo first arrived in the "pound" on friday 14th September, we thought that he had possibly been in an RTA as he had what appeared to be grazes down one side of his body. These are the pictures that I received from the "pound": It was clear that he needed medical attention so one of our volunteers kindly took him so see our vet where he was given a course of anti-biotics for any infection and a special shampoo. We still weren't sure what we were dealing with at this point but the vet didn't think that they were grazes, possibly a skin infection that got really bad through neglect. It was a case of seeing how he went on with the medication and taking him back in a couple of weeks He was then moved to boarding on the 22nd of September after his 7 days in the "pound" and this photo was taken on the transport run: On the 25th he went back to see our vet. His "wounds" were healing really well and we were now thinking along the lines of some kind of trauma, maybe burns His treatment continued and he was offered a rescue space where he moved to on the 29th September. This is the photo that was taken of him arriving at rescue: He has seen a specialist friend of Julie's (the lady who runs the resue) and we are now 99.9% sure that Milo's wounds are acid burns As you can see he is now well on the road to recovery and his wounds are much better. He is a happy go lucky delinquent who has totally trashed his kennel on a number of occasions and so far wants to do the same to every dog or cat that comes into view but with people he is wonderful, a proper cuddly Staffie. I can't even begin to imagine what sort of pain that he must have been in and how he came to have acid burns on his body to that extent but hopefully what goes around comes around to whoever left him in such a state

  6. Ok, confirmed, Princess is a Prince I have just rang the vets that treated him to see exactly what he has been treated for as he seems to have an eye infection and I am waiting for the vet to ring me back (maybe they didn't even check the sex) but the dog warden did and told us he was a she He is a right little doll with a little head enormous belly and bandy legs bless him. The cat is scared of him, even though he's a lot smaller and he has terrorised the 2 resident dogs! He is playful and alert a right little bugger! Prince has had a very good night, he was brilliant not a peep out of him and his little bum is wagging away this morning
