  1. Zico's Mum, good luck with the job I get about 40mph round the doors and 45 on a long run, must have done a lot more miles than I thought this month. Michelle it's very lovely of you to offer but it's fine, really Woohoo, great news
  2. How can I possibly have spent £436 on diesel last month
  3. He sounds lovely. Pictures as quick as you like please
  4. Just wondered what everyone was doing while the end of the world takes place tonight? I am hoping to be lolling on the sofa eating home made fajitas and watching Doctor Who.
  5. Happy birthday Andrea, I hope the day has been lovely
  6. Owl, I read that as 'doesn't have a side door' and had visions of you driving along in an open sided car, the wind howling through the dogs' ears
  7. Morning Well done Michelle. Jazz, I'm sorry your foster is not well. Sending her good thoughts. Anyone got any gentle remedies for dogs with very runny bums? Megan is on her third day of it and Jake on his second. I've been giving them small amounts of rice and scrambled egg for meals but I think I'll give them nothing today. Debating whether to take them to the vet. Megan is very upset because she had a giant liquid poo on the bedroom carpet last night.
  8. It's going dark now and I can only see a bit of movement. See you in the morning kitties
  9. Aw, mum has got up and walked away and all the kittens are squeaking and spreading out to look for her Oh no, she's just come back and sat on them all Phew, a hand has just come in and sorted everybody out
  10. I can't get on with anything for checking back every five minutes to see what they are doing
  11. Gorgeous. Mum looks very contented with her babies around her
  12. Good luck Alex, and have a lovely afternoon RMF: I have been up five - yes five - times in the night Megan dog had a runny bum and it felt like every time I dropped off into a deep sleep she squeaked at me to please get up and let her out again. Bless her, she didn't do anything on the floor though and having seen the piles/puddles in the garden this morning, I'm mighty glad of that Sorry, I hope no one is eating their breakfast while reading this
  13. I'm pretty sure Olive has something, I bought a couple of paperbacks from her Oldies stall at a show last year and there was a postcard-sized Oldies flyer in it.
  14. Morning. Good luck with the studying Alex, must be a nice feeling that you are very nearly there
  15. Welcome back Michelle Random Amazing Fact: I have just managed to transfer all the pics from my iphone to my PC. Go, techno-dummy me
  16. Alex, my Percy Wiseman rhododendron looks beautiful - first year of flowering. Have just taken some pics for the gardening thread for you RMF: Have achieved just about nothing today. Was full of big plans to go to B&Q to buy shelves and tile edging and stuff, but OH woke up with a comedy sausage finger so we had a nice trip to the NHS walk in centre, followed by a quick detour to the sweetie shop and now we are just ligging about Snow, my sympathies. It's no fun being a slave to your hormones, it's most unsettling how it changes your character
  17. I've just finished 'Whatever you love' bu Louise Doughty, and 'And when did you last see your father?' by Blake Morrison. Enjoyed both of them very much.
  18. Happy Gotcha Day gorgeous Love the pic of her on her back on the carpet, butter wouldn't melt
  19. Oh no, I was hoping he'd found his fireside.
  20. Can you actually dig with those hoes then Marge? My back gets really sore from digging, I might give one a go if they are better than a spade. I am a domestic demon today, getting all the chores out of the way. One of the dogs I transported this week has peed all over the back of the car, I've washed the duvet but it doesn't half pong when the car warms up.
  21. He's not showing up on dogs for homing any more - I hope it means there was a happy ending for him.
  22. What have you done to your hand Michelle? And how are Fergus's bits this morning?
  23. Happy Gotcha Day, most handsome of boys Such a happy, smiley face
  24. Glad Fergus's bits are on the mend, poor lad. That's harsh Andrea, and the last thing you need right now Marge, we have some Passivhaus developments up here. The agency I freelance for wanted some info on them so I went undercover and posed as a buyer to get a good look around It's a very interesting concept, the only bit I didn't like was that to maintain the energy efficient environment, you couldn't have your windows open as that would upset the balance. I do like a nice draught/gale blowing through the house I am too tired to see straight/read back, so I hope everyone is OK.
