  1. Some ball obsessed mutts here Although looking at this one you would think that Annie was terrified of the green round object Or is she snowball obsessed She will get them back from anywhere And even balance them on her nose to stop other dogs getting them Pumpkin has liked balls since the day we go her But she only occasionally gets to them before Annie (usually when water is involved) Berts is more chuckit obessed, than the actual ball Sorry good excuse to post some of my favourite pictures of the mutties
  2. Steve Leek this guy is a flyballer (actually the chair of the BFA) and he might be able to do you something, he does lots of our flyball tops. I have also sent you a PM as might be able to do a bit of sponsorship
  3. I use a friend of mine for our photography business, she prints them in her dining room . She does grey t-shirts which are wickable and very comfy, but she does charge £12 each. The image is not a transfer it goes into the fabric.
  4. I don't know enough films so only got 5
  5. What does Java actually do - very little, mainly lying on the bed and eating and occasionally a trip outside Java the cat
  6. I agree it is disgraceful. Thankfully my cousins son had a different reaction. A couple of months ago my uncle had a massive stroke and was in hospital in Warrington, Ryan was able to get special leave to come from Iraq to see him (think it involved phonecalls to people in high places ). He left Iraq in his full army kit, and arrived at the hopital with his helmet in hand and sand still on his boots. As he walked through the hospital numerous people came up to him and shook his hand, my cousin said it was amazing to see. So maybe the common man still has pride in our armed forces and the work they do, it is just the large organisations which seem to have a problem
  7. Yep it is that Live Wires team
  8. The One Show has now changed its mind again and this will be on tonight at 7.30
  9. This is now going to be on the One Show on Thursday 28 August
  10. The British Flyball Championships took place last weekend and the BBC were there filming it for the One Show. They did try and film a tournament earlier in the year and Carol Thatcher ran a dog but the weather was so bad they had problems with the sound, so I am not sure if they will combine the footage from both. This weekend they concentrated on Division 1 which had some very exciting racing, they focused on the Live Wires team who were last years winners and High Flyers who are currently the fastest team in the country. They had the added bonus that Kate and Gin (from Britains got Talent fame) are members of Live Wires and were racing. When they were getting background footage they filmed our team racing so maybe my Bertie will appear. It should be coming out on Monday 25 August
  11. We have been asked to provide the photography at the British Flyball Championships this weekend, which is quite an honour as normally Nick Ridley (one of top dog photographers in the country) does them, but the fates seem to be against us. We work in a party tent which we bought in May, after two uses the side panels ripped. I contacted the company in July and was promised replacement panels for the weekend as we were doing photography. Dispite numerous phone calls they never turned up and on the following Monday was told that the colour we have (navy) was not in stock . I told them that we must have them by the beginning of this week (which I put in writing). So last week I started to chase them and the person I dealt with was on holiday and they could find no information about it and they had no navy in stock. On Monday someone promised that they would send me some grey side panels so we had something for this weekend so I worked at home on Tuesday and my parcel arrived with a replacement roof!!! I did eventually get the replacement sides yesterday evening, white not grey but at least I should be dry. We power the computer equipment with a generator, also bought in May, when we were on holiday the other week it died on us. Numerous calls and emails to the company, leaving messages but no one got back in touch with us. I finally managed to speak to someone last Wednesday who said he had given our details to their engineer who would call me. Come Friday, still no call so my OH called and managed to get the name and number of the engineer. He said no-one had asked him to call us He was very helpful and suggested a fix but unfortunately it didn't work. We took it too him this week but he cannot guarentee that it will be ready for today - so we might have a slight problem with power!! Finally ink, we use quite specialist printers so it is difficult to buy so we ordered a large stock of it at the weekend with express delivery. This company is normally very good at getting stock out to us, but this time nothing arrived. I have just called them and they said as two items were not in stock they have not sent it out, but didn't bother contacting us to tell us and their website said they were in stock. We are leaving tonight as racing starts tomorrow so I have finally arranged for them to be delivered to a local post office and I will have to go and collect them - what are the odds of them not being there. The thing that winds me up the most it the total lack of customer service. The first company regularly promised to call me back and never did, the generator company never responded to our messages and the ink company didn't think it was a good idea to let us know there would be a delay. Hopefully our tent will be dry and stay in one piece, our genny will be fixed and the ink wil be there tomorrow and everything goes well, but I am waiting for the next thing to go wrong
  12. Really sorry to hear this, you will be missed Come and get a nice retirement photo from us at the Champs
  13. Well after the surprising sucess of our tournament, especially after we had to change venues, we have decided to do it all again in September It is quite late notice so I don't imagine it will be a very big tournament but hopefully we will have a few teams interested. It will be back at Home Farm on the weekend of the 13/14 September . I really am questioning my sanity, it has taken me this long to recover from the last one, but we all go on holiday to Angelsey a week later so will be able to recover.
  14. how could you We tried agility with Annie and she was very unimpressed with it all so gave it up and tried flyball instead, unfortunately she is way too impressed with that Hope you have fun
  15. I see Jane regularly at flyball, she is fine but I think very busy with work
  16. When I saw a tournament in Canada it was all down to their box work which was amazing. Before every race they were practising on the box to make those turns perfect, I do also think the US style of box is slightly faster, we definitely knocked a bit of time off when we started to use ours in the Marnicks last year. There was concern from some of the people I spoke to in Canada about the trend to breed staffie collie crosses to get a fast little dog. I know all races in Canada are indoors, too cold in winter and too warm in summer. Even though dogs over here don't tend to go faster indoors as you take away all the elements of wind, rain etc it must eventually mean they run faster (John did do a quick walk along the run just to check it was the same length as ours ) Pretty amazing time though
  17. Lovely photos he looks like a star
  18. Brilliant, we are full already and that is with putting an extra division on Saturday
  19. That i brilliant news, I know exactly how you feel I seem to have missed a few brags so congrats to all it seems like it has been a good start to the season. My brag - Pumpkin is a flyball dog , unfortunately she came into season last week so it will be a while before she can improve on it
