  2. Loads of snow here, never seen so many people, children, dogs and snowmen on the Heath. Cleared drive but it's as bad now. Lindy not keen as it's up to her tummy in places, Ruby got snowballs on her legs and Sham just plodded as usual. The Heath

  4. Safe and warm at the Bridge now little old man. Tony (my neighbours dog)was found dead in the nearby farmers field, he'd been missing for over 2 weeks, partially sighted, deaf and 15 years old. There was a vast open area to cover yet he was found so near to home. Just wish we could of found you.

    Disgusted

It is Robinsons Saddlery, wasn't sure if I was allowed to name them. I've emailed a complaint to customer services telling them I won't be using them again. Got a reply saying the manager will be in touch when he's back on the 4 Jan, bit late then isn't it.

    Disgusted

My neighbours 15 yr old partially sighted and deaf dog has been missing a week now. A doglost helper went into a big local outlet that sells horse/dog stuff etc (well known in this area) to ask to put a doglost poster up and they told her it would cost £11 for two weeks and £5 every week after. Businesses in the town have willingly put the posters up. My postman offered to deliver leaflets and one postman took a poster back to depot. Yet, this business wanted to make money out of it. I'm disgusted and won't spend another penny in that place.
  10. We only decided to go last minute so to speak but we're so glad we did (even if a long drive). Us and the girls thoroughly enjoyed it, it was lovely meeting everyone especially all the doggies (even though I didn't know who was who ) Great pics of a really good day, oh, and the cakes were scrumptious too.
  11. Hope you all get some lovely treats in your santa stocking
  12. Oops don't know what happened there, tried to edit but no joy, keeps going mad.

  15. Sorted thanks to a contact of Margarets through Dogs Trust.
  16. I visited a disabled elderly lady today and her 17 year old dog called Kim. Kim has trouble with her rear legs and seems to be going slightly senile. The lady's sister (who hates dogs) had been telling her to have her PTS. So, she got worried in case she was making her suffer. I took Margaret (fosters elderly dogs for Dogstrust) with me and Kim was perky, lively and gobbled her treats and toddled off for a drink twice. Just the back legs were wobbly, when she goes in the garden for a wee etc there are two steps and the lady has to help her back up them. Obviously with her being disabled she finds this difficult so was wondering if anyone had any experience with rear dog harnesses that she could try and if they would be suitable for her and Kim. Although she showed no signs of senility while we were there with what she described it seems she's slightly senile. Am going to visit once or twice a week and get her registered at my vets. The vets she's using don't have a good name in the area and that's on good authority. Sorry for the ramble but if anyone has used one of these I'd be interested to hear what they think. At least we eased her mind as she was crying on the phone to me when she rang, we left her feeling happier thank goodness.
  17. Fantastic news, well done everyone involved.

    Dog Found

Sorry know this is settled now but couldn't resist showing you these pics and how adorable he is. Groomer brought him back mine yesterday morning. It had taken her till 9pm the night before and some finishing off the following morning to get him right. He made himself right at home. Smile for the camera please Is there any chance I could go back out there "errrr No" Looking out over the heath where I found him, if he thinks he's going back there he can think again (well he did but on a lead this time)
  19. Get well soon Susie, sending good thoughts What a beautiful face
