  1. I'm running a dog show as part of a village fete later this year. Does anyone have any advice with regard to risk assessments for that ?

    Revel

You really will know when Revel has had enough, they do tell you. If Revel is still enjoying himself and is happy then if he were mine I'd leave him be for a little while, make his last days or weeks as good as you possibly can and be happy for him and with him. When the time comes and he tells you then don't hesitate, do what needs to be done, with a smile on your face ( for him ) if you can. It hurts like hell making that decision, it never gets easier no matter how many times you make it, somehow though you do survive it. Thinking of you, I know how hard it is
  3. A bit late but HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND GOTCHA DAY ALFIE You are
  4. Unfortunately reading her 'reply' on her blog it appears that she still believes she is right and that people are misintepreting her. I hope Beverley Cuddy prints something distancing DT from the article and sacks the stupid woman. However, as it's Beverley Cuddy and DT I rather doubt it. DT is the doggie equivalent of tabloid press.
  5. I'll be thinking lots of 'go away lumps' thoughts. I hope all is well
  6. I'm pleased you can soon pick him up and I'll be thinking lots of postitive thoughts for his test results.
  7. I've only just seen the picture Alison, I've not been on much cos one way or another we've had a bit of a funny week. Of course you didn't know what the weather was going to do and the tulips do look rather like they would had Lasso laid on them in the garden, which he was a bit inclined to do in his later years You're very kind I will post Jasper pictures from last week end soon
  8. I'm so sorry, to all involved. I'm sure Mutley will be very spoilt and enjoy the time left
  9. Lots of positive thoughts on the way for Yena and a for you
  10. Poor George. I hope he's feeling much better this morning
  11. Have fun at the Bridge Shadow What a big impact you had, my condolences to all who knew and loved you
  12. You're so very kind and thoughtful Alison. I'd love to see the photographs, the old man liked to sniff the flowers. Thank you
  13. I certainly think he's enjoying his bit of obedience training. I do think though that he might turn out to be a Daddies boy. I'm sure fate, or rather Blythe, had a hand in us getting together. He is much loved already Sue, I'm very grateful you let us have him. It would have been Lasso's 14th birthday today and I hope he approves of the new lad, although I expect he would have just grumped at him. I've taken more photo's today of Jas in the forest, in what was left of the snow by this afternoon. I can't post them today though, I have to wait until another day.

  17. I'm pleased he's feeling a bit better and hope he carries on improving
  18. Honestly T, Hazel is right. You really do need two people. Obviously I can't help with suppliers but you should be able to find a decent wooden shed with base for for around the price you are looking at. If you get a pretreated shed it would be worth treating it again towards the end of Summer and every year thereafter. A few quids worth of stain every year can make a lot of difference.
  19. You can put a shed either on a proper concrete base or on slabs. If you lay it on slabs you'll need to dig out and level the ground before laying them. Most firms which erect sheds which don't have an integral floor insist upon the base already being laid, they won't lay the base for you. Unless you particularly want a metal shed, wooden ones are usually better quality ( if you buy a decent one ). If you are putting it anywhere near the house it is very noisy when it rains and the rain falls onto a metal shed. Metal sheds get much hotter in summer than wooden ones do. You can buy wooden sheds with integral bases. There is no way you'll put a shed of that size up on your own, it really is a two person job, unless you are ultra strong and very flexible ( OK, I know you are very flexible )
  20. Well done Spike, what a clever boy you are. Very handsome too
  21. Lots of positive thoughts on the way to Shoob and to you
