  1. You are being lied to. The actual figures of the 24% of applicants that returned their questionaires, 34.2% (off the top of my head) reported illnesses within their dogs. Caroline Kisco argued these fugures, becuase it is her belief, illnesses such as HD and Glaucoma should not be included in these figures because many dogs with these illnesses lead full happy lives. Even though most of those dogs need medical procedures and/or pain relief for the rest of their lives. Even so - when simple procedures can be put in place OVER NIGHT to change these figures, I can not understand or excuse the KC for not taking those simple steps.
  2. I don't think the KC are going to lose any sleep over the RSPCA and the Dogs Trust not having stalls. I asked about other rescues because on another board, folks are commenting that all smaller rescues should follow suit. I think the only time the KC will worry is if some of the larger sponsers start threatening to remove their sponsorship.
  3. Caroline Kisco of the KC and Ryan O'meara of K9 magazine to discuss matters live on the Alan Titchmarsh show. 3.00pm tomorrow afternoon.
  4. Kennel club to lodge a complaint. KC complaint.
  5. Can any of the rescues here on the board, or any retailers for that matter too, that have a stall at Crufts say if they are going to follow suit of the RSPCA and the DTs, and remove their stalls from Crufts 2009?
  6. Thank you everyone for your support. It means a lot to me.
  7. The dogs trust are asking for their supporters opinions on whether they should attend this year. k9 article.
  8. Hope Joe is feeling better soon Marge. xx
  9. Its hard to write this without swear words but, finally an end has come to the nighmare of the last month I would like to thank everyone for their help and advice - I would have been lost without In a strange twist of events I recieved a suprise through my letter box this morning. The 3 remaining puppies have now been re-registered in my details The saga and trauma my family and friends has been through is finally over and I can now rehome the pups as originally wanted. :D I am smiling like a Cheshire cat. Thank you to everyone on here that has given help, advice and support. I was ready to call it quits many times - but with your help we saw it through. I appreciate everything the fugees have done for me. Lottie. Loola. And Tucker. Thank you all also Its a very happy day.
  10. My opinion is with SB. I don't see them making a stand, more as stepping away from the arguement. Why aren't the RSPCA shouting it from the rooftops, plastering it all over their website, and listing dog breeding standards as one of their 'current campaigns'? IF they feel so strongly about it.
  11. Tye came first as Best pup today at the Gap Show Not that he looks all that interested

    Landywoods

I never have problems with Landywoods. They have bent over backwards at times and changed late orders too. We mass order for several people. They only have one refrigerated van. And the delivery chappy has just had both hips 'done' He comes along way and can not always predict how the traffic will be.
  13. Lovely pickies Cher. 5 days is better than nothing I bet you miss home really.
  14. Yes he does have a hernia. The previous owners were he would 'out grow' it. But its been checked by a vet and will be sorted at the same time as his nuetering. Tye is awaiting his home check. Which I am really pleased about. But I am going to miss him
  15. Have become very much smitten by the handsome Tye. Is going to be hard to say goodbye to him Out on todays walk. Some water fun. Who could say no?

    Daisys Return.

She is still feeling a little tender today but is happy and waggy. Back to the vets tomorrow for her post op check. She did sulk today when we went for a walk and she wasn't allowed to go for a free roam.
  19. Watched a storm roll in on the horizon and managed to get some lightening pickies. Watching the storm come in. The lightening comes.

    Daisys Return.

I think so We have persuaded them to change their views on many things. Helped make the garden secure so she will no longer be out wandering the streets. She has been chipped and tagged should she be out again. She wasn't mistreated, just allowed to wander and roam. Hopefully that wont be the case now Also we can 'pinch' her for walks in the future, so this wont be the last we see of her
  21. Would be lost without MSN - but prefer Skype. All my friends live in my pc
  22. Be it only briefly. But a happy return it is Am very happy to have the little girl with us again. Daisys appeal. Yesterday she was spayed - so her poopie days are now over She is still a little groggy from the anesthetic, but she found her old space on our bed with no trouble last night. lol. I am enjoying having her here again, and the others have accepted her back like she never left. Though there has been grumping complaints of not receiving roast chicken too
