loobie
I have received an email from a person called Marti Moynihan, saying they bought a white iPhone 4s in white from eBay. It is blocked and after doing some 'digging' about the phone apparently it is mine - it can't be mine cause I am typing on it now. What do I do, could it be a scam ? I am a bit worried about this and don't know whether to contact this person back Can anyone help please xx
Happylittlegreensquirrel
sounds like a bit fat scam I would ignore it totally I get some really odd ones into the Dogstar inbox so anything even slightly iffy just gets trashed Sam x
merledogs
Sounds very much like a scam - I wouldn't reply. Bit worrying about how they got your details though? Edited October 24, 2012 by merledogs

Jacobean
If they try to get you to ring them at all don't. Bet there is a high cost involved somewhere. Deffo a scam if you know you haven't sold a phone. Just delete messages
murtle
They work on the basis of sending out thousands of emails in the hope that they will hit some people who have the item they are talking about. If I received that one, I would know it's trash as I don't have a white iphone - but when you are one of the ones who does have what they are talking about it makes you question it.
