Rumpole
ive just been out with our local rspca to try to catch a border collie that has been sleeping in bushes in someones garden in bolton. There have been several attempts by the dog warden to catch him without luck however he is now using a vari kennel that the rspca took up to sleep in and is being fed now by only the house where the kennel is rather than half the street. Our local rspca branch only have a fox trap which is too small Does anyone know of any rescues/people in the area or surrounding area who has a dog trap. or do dog lost peeps know of any border collies missing from any surrounding areas, Horwich, belmont rivington type areas he is staying around one street in the area and looks to have been drawn in because of the cold but there are numerous dog walking areas nearby where he could have been lost.or maybe he once lived in the street.hes got a full and heavy coat and has been out more than a week by the looks of it. hes a wiley ol thing and is always one step ahaead but hopefully now weve reduced the amount of people trying to catch him he may start to come round a little he appears to have a blue collar on but cant get that close at mo and hes not a young dog but is a full bred collie of rather nice breeding. any advice appreciated and stay safe thoughts more than welcome

owl
OK best thing is for me to post your appeal to the rest of the DL team and see where the nearest dog trap is. Will do that now.

And as we clearly need one i have bought a large dog trap which will be delivered tomorrow so if any rescues are in need of its use in the north west area they are welcome to use it
