Laura_E
I received this email with the same info, except in this it says Ben is 15 years old. Please be on the lookout for a white SWB Land Rover with Ashdown Forest on the doors on green. Registration number R1 SWS. It was towing a 14ft Ifor Williams double decker sheep trailer and their 15 year old Border Collie, called Ben, was inside the vehicle at the time it was stolen. It was taken at approx 2pm today from near Forest Row, East Sussex. Contact Louise Amos with any info: [email protected] I hope he is found safely soon. owl
He was logged with us as 13, mentioned elsewhere as 12 and 15. So the only thing we can be sure of is that he is a mature gentleman, bless him. It's quite likely that he may be abandoned somewhere completely different, so please can everyone keep eyes peeled. owl
Yes, I just got home and logged on to read the good news. The stolen vehicle was spotted in Lingfield, and Ben must have been left there as he ended up with the Lingfield dog warden.

owl
They are even celebrating on Radio 2! Stuart and Maconie have just been talking about Ben. And here is a message from Louise via collie rescue lady Valerie: "Louise has asked me to thank everyone on her behalf for spreading the word about Ben her working sheepdog that was in the Landrover that was stolen with the trailer, and for being so supportive. She's just so happy to have Ben back home safe and sound. -- Valerie"
mad as a catter
My son has posted a picture and information about the Land Rover and trailer on a tree surgeons' forum. They are quite keen on hearing about kit that gets stolen, as many of them have had it happen to them. Delighted to hear the BC is home safely.
