I saw my aunt last night (she still works in the prison) and she told me more about what happened. Apparently Steve collapsed whilst escorting some of the lads (prisoners) and it was them that raised the alarm and preformed CPR on him until the medical staff arrived. I know it sounds daft, but that really touched me because I think it shows how much everyone cared about it, even the inmates. They could have used the opportunity to take his keys, radio etc, but instead they all rallied around to try and save him. Anyway, sorry to keep going on!
