rufus the wonderdog
I'm up on the Middlesex/ Hertfordshire borders and would love to come along and meet up with OC folks. I am dogless but happy to walk someone else's, as long as the walk isn't too long or taxing - I'm not too great on energy levels I can always sit in the cafe with Cher. eve
May would be good for me too as Tiffy has had a TPLO and will need until then to be able to have a decent walk. Though if she isn't up to a long walk then we can keep Cher company in the caff.
Laura_E
Can the people that expressed an interest earlier still make it?
Karen
I probably won't be able to do May as Bobtails are having a fun day on 16th which will mean that I will be spending most of the previous 2 weekends helping to prepare. I'd love to come if I can though!

eve
I'm still interested and will try and fit in with what others can make. Are we looking at early June now?
Laura_E
I guess so, and it's also looking like we will be going somewhere nearer north London way as you Val and Cher are the only ones that have said they can definitely make it. I don't really know that area, so if somebody could suggest a place that is good for walks I would really appreciate it. The only place I can think of is Regents Park or Primrose Hill, but not sure what everyone else thinks? I don't drive either, so will probably have to leave Tess at home as she just sits there shaking if she has to go on public transport for longer than 20 minutes! Although depending on what day it is, I may be able to get a lift.
eve
That doesn't seem fair as it's you who are organising it. I am happy to come "dan sarf" Laura and it would be a shame if Tess can't come too. There must be others in the area that we can drum up to come on a walk too. Laura_E
That's really kind of you, but I really wouldn't expect everyone to come to me when the majority of you live in north London. I have a few friends that owe me favours so I am sure I can get somebody to drive me. I may have even have passed my test by June, but that's definitely wishful thinking! Laura_E
The Oldies Club are quite keen to get the dates for the walks on the website so could people let me know their availability please? How are people fixed for the weekend of 12th-13th June?
eve
That's fine for me at the moment Laura
Laura_E
There are a couple of people interested in coming along from the Pets As Therapy group too. They are south London, but I'm sure we can all find a mutual meeting place. I'm just trying to drum up some numbers at the moment.
Laura_E
Some people from the local dog club and Wimbledon Greyhound Rescue have said that they will also come along for the walk. As they are all based over this side of London I was thinking of arranging two walks- one for south London and one to cater for those of you in north London. I know it's not ideal, but I have really struggled to get people to commit and it seems like the only solution. The one in south London will be held at Bushy Park on the 13th June. If we meet in the car park near the Diana Fountain at 11am we can head off from there. I hope this is ok with everyone.
Karen
I'll do my best to be at the Bushy Park walk, I've written it in my diary.
Laura_E
For those of you that are on Facebook, here is the link to the event invitation for the south London walk: http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=106998765995234&ref=mf Are people interested in having a seperate walk for north London, or is Bushy Park ok for everyone?
