Fee
Holly is a picture perfect 11 year old West Highland White Terrier lady who came into Oldies Club care as, due to circumstances beyond her owner's control, she was being left on her own a lot of the time. Holly is now in an Oldies Club foster home in Norwich, Norfolk, waiting for someone to offer her a loving, permanent home. It took little Holly about 2 weeks to settle in to her foster home. She has proved to be a well-behaved girl who is happy to be left alone for a few hours, but as she has been left for long hours previously, we hope she will find a home where she can have plenty of companionship. Socialising: Holly is good with other dogs and gets on well with the two bitches in her foster home. Her previous owner told us that she is good with children of all ages and, although her foster carer hasn't seen her with children, she feels that Holly would indeed be fine with them. Holly's not good with cats though! Out and about: Holly enjoys her walks and she's very good on the lead. She's not keen to walk on muddy paths, but then who is? She's very well-behaved in the car and is used to travelling in a cage. Holly loves to curl up close to where her owner is. She also loves going for walks, playing with her toys, and getting a treat. The only thing Holly doesn't seem to like is bottles - of any type! Holly's perfect home: Holly wants a home where she will be loved and appreciated. She's quite active and really enjoys her walk every day, so her new family will need to enjoy that too. She can be left alone but ideally she'd like someone to be around most of the time. Health notes: Holly is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea-treated. She has been vet-checked and is a little overweight. She is being fed on a reduced calorie dry food, which she likes. She is a bit arthritic, which makes jumping-up and climbing the stairs difficult for her. It certainly doesn't stop her walking and running around though. Her mobility should improve as she loses weight. A message from Holly's foster carer: Four words that sum up Holly are: Sweet; Obedient: Quiet; Loyal. Holly is a beautiful little girl. She is very good in the house and asks to go out when she needs to. She loves walks and will happily go for at least a mile, which is good going given her age and the shortness of her legs! She is healthy and alert and will make a fantastic companion for the right person. Doesn't Holly sound a complete poppet! —————— If you would like to find out more about Holly, please refer to our Adoption Procedures for information about the adoption process. You can then contact an Oldies Club rehoming co-ordinator as follows: Email: [email protected] Telephone: 0844 586 8656 Holly can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, subject to a satisfactory home visit, but note that you will be required to travel to the foster home to meet her.
