celeste
I think there will be a flood of calls for those kittens, the Daily Mail does have it's uses
ReikiAnge
Poor cats, but yes hopefully the fact they are cute kittens and have been publicised in a national paper will mean they are now safe. Shame the same can't happen for all the other animals waiting on death row. I don't know why I read the comments under these things though. They just make me want to shoot people
Laura_E
I don't know why I read the comments under these things though. They just make me want to shoot people I know, some people are total scum. I've just had a look on the charities facebook group (they don't have a website) and there seems to be a lot of people coming forward to offer homes, but they haven't had any response from the owners. Some say that they have been calling the phone numbers given by the Daily Mail (and a number of other newspapers that are running the story), but nobody is answering. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=76711861903&ref=share They also had a similar situation this time last year and went to the papers for help then too. It seems to be a good way of drumming up support. http://www.thisissouthdevon.co.uk/news/Kittens-saved-generosity/article-411796-detail/article.html
celeste
I hadn't read the comments, until now,I can never understand why people always make the "what about starving babies in Africa" comment, isn't there enough compassion in the world for all creatures
Kats inc
Cute kittens plus sob story = good fund raising I would imagine. I do believe times are tough and they are no doubt facing difficult times but so many others are too I hope this does save some lives, those little faces are too cute to be leaving us
cycas
I hope it will encourage some of the people who might otherwise let their cat have 'just one litter - because everyone loves kittens!' to think again. There seems to be growing awareness of the surplus dog problem thanks I think partly to the sterling PR efforts of Dogs Trust, but people often don't seem to register that we also have too many cats.
