ReikiAnge
Poor dogs Wearing protective gear, padded sleeves and carrying fire extinguishers to deal with any aggression, specialist handlers dragged snarling dogs into cages in the back of cars using special poles that hooked around the animals' necks. I think I'd be snarling if someone came into my home like that and grabbed me round the neck with a pole.

Rudi
I agree it is awful for the dogs and I wish it didn't have to happen, but the police officers can't risk getting bitten and in a way it's better for the dogs that precautions are taken, better than putting them in a position where they can bite. If they aren't seized then how will the problem of yobs and their dogs ever be addressed? I know not all the homes will be the same, but if the police have targeted the likes of those on the BBC programme about my weapon is a dog, then these dogs aren't being ripped away from loving homes. Agreed totally the crying shame is that if the dogs are owned by suspected fighters etc and are type it is they, not their owners who pay with their life. including those whose life has barely started. in this case it is the law itself that lets dogs down not those upholding it. if they were any other breed they could be rehomed

I appreciate that they are possibly being "saved" from a horrendous life, even if it does mean pts, it's just such a horrible situation all round for the dogs

Ian
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11...ng-members.html There are more photos in this link . The older dog looks more scared than vicious in these pictures to me & as for the poor pups how can it ever be right they be deemed dangerous at this age / before they've ever learned any way of being Edited July 10, 2009 by Ian
