EAD
they never give anesthetic for 'the other end' and should! I was knocked out for it, thank god. Woke up and would never have known anything had been done.

reds
You've all been such a comfort Got the appointment for this morning for the end of the month. Perhaps them calling it an "operation" on all the paperwork didn't help
reds
Tomorrow is the day, trying to be brave and not think about it too much. Am fretting more about possibility of having to take clothes off at the mo!
Spins4me
Tomorrow is the day, trying to be brave and not think about it too much. Am fretting more about possibility of having to take clothes off at the mo! I had a gown on for the two I had (one up, one down to put it simply!!) and with the sedation for the down one I couldn't have cared less. Try to be calm and relax tonight. Hope it goes ok. rmb3971
Hey, good luck for tomorrow, will be thinking of you And after all, you've been through so much in the last while, this should be a walk in the park. I'm sure your boys will be extra caring and loving when you get home. Roz x
Jacobean
Aw I'll be thinking of you. They won't be looking at your body Lindsey. They see these things all the time and will be concentrating on what they need to do.

lazydaisy
All the best for tomorrow. The staff doing the endoscope are used to doing this and will be able to put you at ease.

reds
Thank you all They were spot on when they said it would be "unpleasant" . I opted for the spray primarily because I am a wuss and didn't want a needle! At least now I can still drive today though. The staff were all lovely and their nice white lies about "you're doing really well" did just the trick so thank you to any nurses and Drs on here. I did gag a few times and had a mini-panick that I couldn't breathe at the beginning until he told me to breathe around the tube and let me get used to it for a few moments. Sleep would have been very good but needle definitely bad!
