A Trailhound is missing from the Shurdington area Nr Cheltenham. She went missing from a doggy day care centre on Wednesday 10th Spetember. She has been seen in the area but as yet has not been caught. She was seen at weekend around some fishing ponds at Burlyfields Farm which is off Crippetts Lane and between Leckhampton Lane. It is a very wooded area and she is going to be difficut to catch. Her name is Lucy and the owner has had her just 6 weeks. Previously she was known as Jill. She has a tan head and ears with a mainly white body and has a black and yellow Dogs Trust collar on. She is chipped and spayed and she is 4 years old.

Sue (Koshka) is trying to organise a search for her on Saturday morning meeting at the Crickley Hill Country Park at 10am. If anyone in the area could spare a couple of hours we would be very grateful. Please pm me if anyone wants any further details.

Thanks,

Eileen

Spent last night in car at fisheries but no show. Walked the surrounding woods and fields for 4 and half hours with my hound off lead and running about sniffing, but no sight. A very difficult area to search if Lucy wants to remain hidden as it is very hilly and covered with gorse, woods, shrubs, ferns.

No sightings of her since Monday.

Still meeting Saturday morning at Crickley Hill at 10am. We may drive somewhere else nearby to start walk, will decide in morning.

Its very muddy up there so a good pair of boots and a change of shoes and socks will be a good idea. Also, binoculars and a roll of cellotape to tape posters along the walk will help.

Anyone not up to hill walking, there is a lot to be said for standing in one place looking through binoculars or even going to local village and putting leaflets through doors.
