uke
I took the water fountain out today to clean and descale it. 3 hours later I put it back: I had put down a bowl of water to tide them over but it obviously wasn't fresh enough.

cycas
Wow, that is popular, am wondering if we should have one. Are they expensive?
nouggatti
Wow, that is popular, am wondering if we should have one. Are they expensive? I have a 3 litre one, Hazel/uke's is a 10 litre one Three litre one priced @ £22.49 here and the 10 litre one £42.99 here They are fantastic, you can get replacement filters etc for them too
uke
That's Homer (the hairy one) on the left. There are 10 feline shaped monsters in the house - would you like one? The cats and dogs adore the water fountain. It's a Dogit and cost me €99. Holds 10.5l of water and they absolutely adore it.
Rudi
I would love a cat but Rudi has an unhealthy interest in them
nouggatti
I would love a cat but Rudi has an unhealthy interest in them Not an impossible situation to resolve Rudi! When I first got cats, my Jake took a few months to get used to them, but did, and didn't harm any. Can be different when they are the "dogs" cats or cats of the house, and socialisation can also work really well.
Brenda
That looks great, I think I will have to invest in one. My Birman cat always likes to catch the drips from the tap (drives OH mad as he says it is unhygenic). Even Caleb likes to drink from the water feature in the garden! I have thought about it, but it's just the off chance that he might hurt one It was bad enough when Koda caught a bird in the garden I wanted to socialise them both much more with cats when they were young but I didn't know anyone who would be willing to let their cats be experimented on by a rottie pup ;)

When JD (our 14 year old cat) was a youngster of 18 months he "stole" a rottie pup from the neighbours and brought it home the way other cats bring home small rodents

JACKYSIAN
Fab picture!!! Herbert comes running when he hears me in the bathroom cos he likes to drink from the running tap!!! Thought he was odd but obviously he's not that unusual!!!
estweyn
Lovely picture and great cats. Tinks drinks from the tap also, vet says its a wild throwback, where any standing water would be considered as being tainted and likely to cause stomach upsets, whereas running water of any kind is thought to be purer by the cat
Nettie
Mac also sits in the sink waiting for the tap to be turned on. Maybe I should get a water fountain, have thought about it before but the dogs would want to use it too, the cats tend to live in my study, the dogs just go in to see if there's any cat food around they can steal because, apparently, they never get fed.
