jax39
My McAfee anti-virus has just expired, just wondering what is a good one to buy these days? Should I stick with what I know or get a better one? My PC is only used for school work for my daughter, and general internet use, so I dont need anything too fancy, can anyone give me a bit of help? Also I need to buy online as I cant get out at the moment. Many thanks.

Yantan
AVG free version should do you. I have been using it for years and found it very good. You can go for the paid version but try the free one to start with and see if it suits you Linky Marion
BillyMalc
I got mine free from Antivir (will look up linky later), well over a year ago and I'm still up and running, after having had a virus despite paying for McAfee (bag a fee )

mooandboo
I'll never pay for anti- virus protection again - I've spent a fortune on Norton and McAffee in the past but have found AVG and Avast (used with Mozilla Firefox) to be far better and free!
