Himself Is Going To See The Vet.

His back legs are getting very weak and give up on him sometimes so we are going to get some help for him, this has been happening for some time, less since he has been walking more but needs attention.

His walks have been getting slightly longer each day (length of walk, not time spent on one blade of grass) and he seems to be thriving. Just as oh thinks Himself has had enough walking, Himself finds yet another bush/blade of grass to check out but the legs giving way needs sorting.

I said to oh don't let him walk so far but oh said that when he picks himself up to carry him back to the car, Himself struggles and huffs (funny noise he makes when he wants you to put him down- like a strangled cry) so will see what vet says and if vet says less exercise then oh will have to get ear plugs.

Himself is fine other than the weakness and eats like a horse - anything and everything. He now has some ice cream (spoonful) and an icypop to go to bed with and a snack for middle of the night hunger pains - if he doesn't have a middle of the night snack he wakes everyone up demanding food.

Now the rain is back Himself will not come to the Heath with us as he hates the wet and will have a walk on the pavements instead, lots of bushes and grass to investigate so he is just as happy.

Nice thoughts would be appreciated for Himself - not worried as I am sure the problem can be helped just for good measure.

Vet said it's probably neurological, Himself sometimes doesn't seem to know where to put his feet.

But has put him on a week of Previcox to see if that helps.

Himself can have all the exercise he wants as he will know when he has had enough.

Hope he improves on the tablets -( snoopy can spend at least 15 mins on one blade of grass too ...especially when I'm running late for work ....don't you just love 'em)
