She told him she couldn't decide if she should be a jockey or a vet when she grows up and that she wanted to keep horses. He told her that if she studied hard at school she could become a vet and earn enough money to have lots fo horses and she could save on vets bills by treating them herself. If however she was a jockey she'd probably be poor forever and wouldn't be able to afford horses of her own She saw the sense in what he said and now wants to be a vet.
