First thing I'd do is put a house line on him so that you can keep control over him so as not to upset your other dogs. Then you should ring the rescue for advice. :flowers: I would think if he has only just been neutered he should be being kept calm at the moment anyway. Mounting isnt always a sexual thing. It can be a 'dominance' thing or sometimes an acquainting thing. It is possible though, that having only just been neutered his hormones are still raging. it an take a few weeks for levels to reduce.

I'm sure that some of the more experienced trainers will have some more ideas :flowers:

What kind of dog is this foster? Hopefully when he settles in with you and his hormone levels start to drop there might be some peace and quiet. He must be fast on his feet to even catch Paddy, let alone try to mount him!

hi hes sposed to be a german shep xross lab but im not so sure he is fast youre right he must be to catch up with Paddy  i am hoping he wll settle and i havent bitten off more than i can chew as at the mo all i seem to be doing is watching and waiting for something to happen

Don't worry, not every foster mum can foster every dog, it depends how a particular foster settles down in your existing pack and this one seems like a pushy fellow. So don't doubt yourself, see how it goes, and if he fails to settle and has to go to a different foster don't blame yourself.
