It's a petition by Four paws to close a loophole permitting dog & cat fur products to be imported to Europe if not originating on a fur farm. http://www.vierpfoten.org/website/output.p...&language=1 A quote from it reads Two million dogs and cats give up their lives for fur products in Asia every year. Many animals are specially bred for the fur industry, others are simply caught on the streets. Also furs from dogs that often land on the dinner plate in Asian countries could make their way into international trade. These animals often suffer under terrible keeping conditions in tiny wire cages and extremely brutal methods of killing. In some cases, the animals have their fur ripped off their living bodies. These furs make their way into Europe, the most important sales market, as fur trimming on clothes, decoration articles or toys. Please have a look & consider lending your support. Sorry it's obviously been written by a foreigner - you should have seen the email it was forwarded in - To the right hand side there a "Send an appeal" link.
