Mommy Bear
Hmmmmph. Thats them given a piece of my mind !! Pointed out they were exploiting one disadvantaged group to "help" another.
chasta
I am writing to complain about this item on ebay for Comic Relief. (ebay item linky) Although I understand that it is raising a fair amount of money for the cause it is at the expense of the dogs, the amount of abuse and cruelty that goes on in the dog racing industry is appalling. I'm sure Comic Relief would not like to be seen relieving suffering in one area, only to be condoning it in another. Please take a look at this website for more info http://www.greyhoundaction.org.uk/imain.html Thank you Chasta Thats what I said....
The Grey
I used their online form and told them I wouldn't be giving a penny in view of them exploiting one disadvantaged group who can't speak for themselves to help another.

Brindlebabe
Standard reply:- Many organisations donate valuable gifts to Comic Relief which we try to use in the most appropriate way possible to raise funds. One such organisation is the British Greyhound Racing Board who donated this prize to us. Please do be assured that we take every complaint from the public seriously, logging them all to be analysed after the campaign. Many thanks for bringing your concerns to our attention. Comic Relief Not good enough is it?
