  4. Awesome!!! fabulous pictures and I'm in love several times over.....
  5. I sponsor a few dogs. You know - the needy kind that we can't adopt cos we have a houseful etc etc. I actually have 3 sponsor dogs at SOI(which reminds me - do we need to renew our sponsor ship of Tripod for the Refuge?) Anyway this week I have had TWO emails from Gil at SOI TWO of my sponsors have been adopted. Blimey How fab is that?
  6. I've never tried this before - and have heard some of them are very slow. I have the prescription ready to send, but need some recommendations! Thanks
  7. Farewell Cisco Melp - for a dog who only had a couple of weeks left when he arrived, he sure eeked it out. Must have been the love (and food, and cuddles, and soft beds).
  8. Hi Laura, Yes all too much experience.... Hobo was epi the last few months of her life and Megan is now as well. There are some very good resources on the web with information, but often a dog can just have one fit and that's it, no repeats, so fingers crossed this is the case for Salada If you need them - try these places - lots and lots of info - there also some very active forums with lots of knowledgeable people. http://www.canine-epilepsy.net/index.html http://www.canine-epilepsy-guardian-angels.com/ Good luck! 9. I'm going to have to filch that for the blog ....
  10. Just had to share this one:
  11. OO-er - is that right? Yes the poo is a bid crumbly - but better that than the usual slimey stuff! (sorry - too much detail I know!)
  12. Burns Pork and Potato. (of all things) We've tried just about everything with QB and Boots - and they always have runny poo and dodgy tums. Brian found a reference on the internet about Wolfies and avoiding rice, chicken and fish (all the things that the vets say to use!) so we thought we'd give it a go. Amazing results - all 5 dogs have completely solid poo and QB has stopped farting. Well I never did.
  13. Because things are just a bit pants at the moment - the redoubtable renowned Melp has recorded a song for you to cheer you all up. Its attatched to this post as a windows compressed wav file - so you need real audio to play it. Now - a word of warning - when I played this (on quiet) the wolfhound leapt out of his bed and stared at the back door..... a few more seconds and there may have been a howling. It's lovely though. Thanks Melp. PS. I am sure that there are voluntary organisations aout there to help you rcover from this experience. If anyone has any links... please post them. 001_A_003_Trevor_Page_2007_01_06.zip

    Hi,

Hello Julie! Welcome to the Refuge
  16. Welcome Wendy - Rogue is GORGEOUS (more pics please!)
  17. I'm locking this thread becaus it's wandered off topic completely and everything has really been said that can be.
  18. Despite the name - it never was - it was a good pagan holiday "borrowed" by the growing "christian" faith to make christianity more acceptable to the other faither they were trying to usurp.
  19. Oh no - Tealeaf was almost comatose. MUCH worse!
  20. Tealeaf was a very poorly bunny for a couple of days post-op. The rest were fine...... there was no noticeable bruising but he was very lathargic Brandy (bless his cottons) swole (swoll?) up like a football. With QB they took away the sac as they said "he would blow away in a strong wind We did take him (Tealeaf) back a couple of times out of sheer panic but he just needed time to recover.
  21. Wot she said! Brilliant - and pics too pretty please
