  3. Not Arf. John Hurt - gotta be good. Will have to record it though as it is our wedding anniversary today so we're going up the pub for dinner tonight. 23 Years OMG where did they go ?? If I was still married to my first husband it would be 51 years next month .
  4. Sorry you have lost Gracie Squirrel. Loved and missed by many who followed her story. She lives on in your heart.
  5. Oh Wow, you are all so knowledgable. I have been consulting my book and I think I have to look closer try and be more accurate in my identification for instance thrushes (fieldfare, song or mistle). I love watching them feed; seeing who's got issues and who takes advantage. I thought Robins were very territorial but we have at least two and they seem okay together.
  6. Oh Terri, so sorry to hear this. What a worrying time for you. No suggestions just lots of get better thoughts for Abby.
  7. DB has taken to feeding the birds big time. Apart from the seeds and nuts he's making twice as much bread as usual and giving them inside-out lard sandwiches !! This involves larding a slice of bread on one side, pressing it into a dish of seeds, same on the other side. They LOVE it. (unfortunately so does Mungo so when we let him out he makes straight for the feeders to see if any lardy bread has been knocked to the ground!!!) We have: Robins Pied Wagtails Tits - lots of different ones Blackbirds Thrushes and this morning - Pheasants ! These are the ones I can identify but I have a book and am working on increasing my knowledge.
  8. Leslie, you work so tirelessly A small donation has been sent by paypall.

  15. No, I don't have alopecia Mungo has been on Atopica for about six weeks now, on account of how he is allergeric to everything. He seems to be shedding an awful lot of hair. He normally sheds a fair bit but I could knit puppies every day with what he's throwing out now. Coincidence or not I don't know. Its not mentioned in the side effects list. I have started giving him cod liver oil capsules but wondered if fugees have any experience/advice they could pass on.

  23. We live in North Devon, fairly remote. There is an small airfield close-by (one grass runway and refueling facilities). It has a small flying club which DB has joined but thats another story Yesterday and today the army have been out to play = Sea King helicopters dropping squaddies, making smoke, firing blanks, heat seeking bodies, generally being Army. I was hanging out my washing, as you do, watching the 'copters and listening to the gunfire and it struck me........ for some people this is real life, with the addition of missiles and mines. None stop, every day. I felt quite sick.. Obviously this brings up a lot of questions with no answers that I don't have the knowledge or the guts to go into here but I feel so sorry for the people caught in the middle of armed politics. Please give think of them and send positive stop war now thoughts to the idiots who send out the orders.
  24. Caught Dara on the analysis programme. Funnnneeee. May have to start watching the show proper
