  1. I have to admire 2 couples, who despite the weather and the state of the local roads, made it here this afternoon to adopt greyhounds. 2 lovely black boys have just left for their forever homes
  2. 6 inches of the horrible stuff last night and this morning. St Helens is about 15 miles from Liverpool city centre which had about 1/2 an inch. jammy barstards
  3. Spoke to dad about an hour ago. He had driven from Liverpool city centre to Frodsham and said the snow was virtually cleared and gone all the way. All the roads had been treated and were not slippy. He couldnt beleive we had about 6 inches of the sodding stuff and our lanes are totally impassible now.
  4. for the squiggs family. sleep tight gracie
  5. You may want to go just to be sure the old bugger has definately gone!!
  6. I did my xmas shop online on friday afternoon. So far, Firebox and Findmeagift have delivered already, amazon, thorntons and cadburys tell me its been dispatched. As the snow is coming back tomorrow, Im hoping more stuff arrives today.
  7. to all those who have lost nearest and dearest, and those having a sh*tty time right now The end is in sight for my house. I have a painter in who should be finished start of next week. Electrician is near finished, plumber needs one more visit and my carpets come next monday. Going to phone the furniture storage people and see if they can get my stuff back to me before xmas. god help me it will be chaos
  8. I hate coming downstairs to more ice and frost. I love being greeted by 4 dogs who act like they hadnt seen me in months every morning
  9. I gave you the benefit of the doubt that you were more clever than me
  10. it has gone chilly out again. I think I would like to go back to egypt now. 3 days of cold weather and Ive had enough

I would think all 3 of the finalists will get a contract, so it doesnt really matter which one wins. I would like to see rebecca win it though
  12. I felt really sorry for Matt last night. He thought he had done a great job and then got wellied by all four judges. I do enjoy watching Keira and have total admiration for pamela. At 61 to have so much energy and stamina is impressive. She did look well knackered after the swing dance though bless her
  13. As I am a tad rubbish at anything technical, how about I decorate my desk and put tinsel round my screen and post a picture of it
  14. morning. my renovatins.....hmmmmmmmmmm. I have a fully built house which is a plus. I have half a kitchen, and one of two bathrooms is functional, though neither are decorated. I have no flooring down apart from a hardwood floor in my bedroom and ensuite. My furniture is still in storage and doesnt look to be coming home any time soon I do however have a fully working utility room which currently has my old kitchen in, so I can cook (well in theory as Im a lousy cook)
  15. very sorry. Sleep tight Korky
  16. morning. I think I timed my 2 weeks in egypt perfectly It snowed just after I left and melted as I came home. Melted or not tho, its a hell of a shock to the system to go from 33 degrees to zero so Im currently still dressed up like an eskimo and shivering
  17. morning. I still have a house full of builders. Today the joiner will be making me a new utility room, while the tiler does the new kitchen floor. Then while I am away the joiner will make my new kitchen. The painter is making my house white again and the builder is digging up the garden.

Ah well, Louis sh*t it and wouldnt go to deadlock incase Cheryls precious Cher went out. He has backed Paige from day one. Chers song wasnt that good, and she wobbled as she whinged through it. Just wish to god people would stop voting for the leery pervy Wagner
  19. I am fairly sure Felicity wouldnt have won it anyway so going isnt a great loss, but Im also glad Im away for the next two weeks and wont have to watch Anne make a tit of herself any longer. Hopefuly she will be gone when I get back
  20. Im of the opinion that if Gillian isnt mentally or medically sound enough to do these trials, they should take her out of the jungle. She contributes nothing and yet is first at the pot at meal dishing out time. Quite sad Im going to miss the rest of this over the next two weeks while I am away as it looks like it could be quite funny if they get shut of the poo investigator
  21. [quote name='collies r best' My daughter Jodies biggest hate is cooked veg, all her veg is raw..sprouts, carrots, cauli, cabbage etc. She'll eat corn on the cob hot but if its frozen sweetcorn then defrost it and serve cold I eat my veg raw too. I think adding heat to any veg just gives it a grotty taste. my list.... marmite any smelly cheese any offal custard mushy peas I also confess to smirking when I saw the title but then I remembered this is a fairly respectable site
  22. morning. I am still living in utter chaos I can see a light at the end of the tunnel though, and as soon as I work out if its daylight or an oncoming train I shall report back I am still sleepting in a tent, although I am 'camping' upstairs now. Its kept me dust free for the last 6 weeks. I thing we have a few weeks of cosmetic fixing and the job will be done.
  23. Switching to Blackpool would be a good turning point to change the rules back to the old way and have a dance off and a judges decision. We are getting to a point where the better dancers are going to end up booted off while lardy arse takes a valued dance spot
  24. And that is why the old format with the judges making the final decision worked so much better There were worse who could have gone home
  25. I think I prefer having the judges given the final say rather than pure public. Its worked ok so far, but at a later date a decent dancer is going to go out at the expense of a more popular person
