  1. If your knee can cope with the peddling, why not - I would think that people seeing you on a trike would not make assumptions about you, as unfortunately they seem to be doing when you use a mobility scooter. I think its a sad reflection on society for people to make judgements on others just because of the way they get around! If I see someone using a mobility scooter I just think that they cant walk as far as they would like to.
  2. I was in M & S this afternoon, deciding which red bra I was going to buy (have always wanted one!). I found a style I liked, turned round to tell my daughter I was going to buy it - found I was telling a complete stranger!! (daughter had wandered off). I felt very silly, he looked confused, his wife looked puzzeled
  3. I am going to a comedy club tonight (first date in the evening with new bloke). Will be watching the rugby this afternoon and shouting for WALES!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have actually to get out of bed and get dressed first!

    Omg

A friend of mine visited last weekend with her 4mth old grandson. When I opened the door Roly (chi) started barking at the baby! Harri (lab) joined in with the barking = one crying baby (understandardably!) I put both dogs in the kitchen and shut the door. I did not want the baby being upset, and it was safer for the dogs to be out of the way. I trust Harri, but would not have let him into the room as he may have trodden on the baby (who was lying on the floor on a blanket) My point is - a baby and dogs should not be put into a hazardus situation. What the hell was the grandmother thinking of by placing the baby on a pillow on a table?
  5. My daughters friend had a puppy last weekend. An 8wk cocker spaniel. Unfortunately she was bought from a "farm" in West Wales. I was very suprised as I know the girls mother is a vvvvv fussy woman (has fairy lights in her kitchen!) Bethan was chatting today and I asked how the puppy was getting on? I could not believe it when I heard the answer - the mum "could not cope" with the puppy crying at night (obviously not researched getting a puppy) and the puppy has been taken back to the farm On the one hand I am glad that the puppy is not in the household as they do not have a clue about dogs and she is hopefully going to find a better family, but the thought of a tiny puppy going back to be sold again is so sad I do not know the mother well enough to give any advice and to be honest I dont think she would have taken any advice.
  6. Its lovely to hear about an appreciative husband Wishing you many more happy years.
  7. Heard somewhere that Asda are selling "in between" sizes jeans, ie size 11, 13 and 15. I am not a 12 anymore, but size 10 is not comfy for the daytime, so I will be investigating these jeans (in a size 11). Hope this information is useful to someone
  8. I am so glad it was not your heart. Take things easy, hope they get the gall stones sorted out quickly.

  11. It started snowing in Barry this evening (we are 1.5 miles from the beach, so snow is unusual). My son found it very difficult to get to sleep because of the snow.
  12. Raced out of house this morning as we were late, as I drove up the road I thought the car seemed a bit funny. Stopped to have a look and found I had a flat tyre Had to wait an hour for the recovery man to change the tyre and then proceed to work. We now have snow in Barry
  13. I have spent 2.5 hours this afternoon tackling my paper mountain. I had so many sheets of paper to shred it took son 1hr to do it (he's not a fast worker though!) Now I have a pile of things to do with the unshredded stuff.
