  1. Well my Dad's £5,500 electricity bill has now been reduced to £350 in credit My Dad's 76 but still has all of his marbles and then some so has argued the original bill for weeks and threatened them with the ombudsman but it's worrying how many other people have had the same kind of bill and paid up They had the cheek to suggest he leave the £350 with them for future payments
  2. Amazing! Some things are just so right
  3. I ordered mine on Jan 14th and it hasn't arrived yet. Phoned today & woman said she'd send another bottle to hopefully arrive by Wednesday. Failing that I'll be getting a refund - I'd rather have the remedy so fingers crossed.
  4. I'm so very sorry My heart goes out to Lesley's family and friends :GroupHug: Rest easy Lesley
  5. Mine hasn't arrived either - will phone later or Monday
  6. I used to drink around 10 cups of tea and coffee a day, I still do but only redbush tea - if I have a coffee at someone else's house I get twitchy and anxious (was never actually aware of it before probably because I was always 'topped up'). I never used to sleep well and did suffer from anxiety type sleep problems which have all gone since I gave up caffeine. I think it takes months rather than a week though - perhaps you just have a greater tolerance I won't let Ceri have caffeine but occasionally he's unknowingly had a soft drink containing it & he goes completely hyper, like a cartoon character, talking nineteen to the dozen Redbush isn't perfect but I like milk in my tea & though I love mint tea it doesn't have the comforting factor of milky tea - for me anyway
  7. Redbush tea is naturally caffeine free & the closest to 'normal' tea I've found - ok with milk too. Caffeine is vile stuff - you only realise how vile when you've been free of it for a while & then have a dose Lots of :GroupHug: where needed today, my knees are hurting cos Ravencat is sleeping on my chair so can't read for too long
  8. Sounds like you're getting it all sorted - good practice for when you buy your own place (and it starts to fall apart around you the minute you move in ) Well done you
  9. I ordered mine the same day that Griff posted (14th) and it hasn't arrived yet - hopefully it'll be here soon
  10. Seriuosly, it does sound a bit strange so I'd probably forget about etiquette (if it's genuine he obviously has)and ignore it
  11. I'd forward the email to his wife
  12. Try dark chocolate for your cough Lots of healing thoughts for Jazz :GroupHug:
  13. Sleep tight little dog Bye bye sister (if she was mine)
  14. Me too - so glad he's been reunited with his owners, can't believe he's 17! Well done Lou
  15. N Power - it's my Dad's. He was sent a bill for over £5,000, he complained & they sent someone out and have reduced it to over £2,500 for a two and a half year period which I think is still excessive. Kelly, we pay £95 a month for both and I'm here all day with tv, computer, washing machine/tumble dryer (& kettle) on all day
  16. Ok... does £84 a month for electricity for a 3 bedroomed bungalow with electric cooker, TV & washing machine used by one person (who is at someone else's house quite often) seem excessive?
  17. I've ordered some & I'll definitely know if it works so will let you know We went to Whitby at Halloween last year and there was a big Goth festival so the place was packed - Lucas hardly put a foot wrong even though there were loads of dogs - so many I think he was too stunned to react It's easily done griff, I nearly posted a link to my amazon account recently, luckily I realised when I checked the link and signed out before posting another one.
  18. Are there any electricity peeps here who could advise re. what I think is an excessive bill?
  19. It does say when ordering that if you don't see the padlock at the bottom of your screen to click the padlock on the page so don't know if Griff didn't do that
  20. Morning Chucking it down here but the paths directly outside the house are like a skating rink - poor Ceri's legs were going in every direction but the one they were supposed to be this morning Cafferysmum and all who need one
  21. Renew it (if it's not ridiculously expensive)and then you have the option of a break from everything else you're doing but see it as that (with a view to the future) and don't put yourself under too much pressure too soon
  22. That really is good news! I have two fear aggressive dogs (nightmare in this weather) and would love to know which remedy you used
  23. Evening Julia Glad Garfy is eating, hope he's feeling much better soon :GroupHug: for Cozzie cat and you too Marion
  24. I don't, the others are not quite as rebellious though  @Jemima, Jimmy (also called Jemima ) used to do the same Pugsycat could never poo unless she'd whizzed around the room like a mad thing & then jumped in the tray
