  1. Keeping everything crossed for the gorgeous Aswan . Terri
  2. Always my favourite one of him Miss you big guy. My daughter moved in with us for a while and brought her hamster with her, Mason saw him being taken into the house and that was it, any time he was passing he would just stand and stare at the front door waiting in hope that Casper was going to come out and play with him. Terri
  3. Arran says thank you all very much, he was taken to the pet shop so he could pick his own present, he got some squeaky toys, something nice for his tea and bubbles. He is hilarious with the bubbles, all we can hear is his teeth when he bites down on the bubbles, Abby for some strange reason only tries to eat the ones that land on Arran's back she's a weird dog that one. Terri
  4. Mr. nice but dim Arran is 2 years old today . After Ailsa died I swore I would never have another dog but my family went behind my back and bought Arran for me, I only found out a few days before I got him. Arran was born 10 days before my bestest child died. Love you my boy, even thought your as thick as two short planks. It's also my twins birthday today, Ewan and Kirsty are now 27 Terri

I have a couple of grandbrats one of 4 months and one that's 7 months, they are never left unattended with the dogs, if during the day they are asleep they do it in their buggy's which are in the middle of the floor with no furniture nearby where the dogs could jump up and get to them, if I have them overnight I sleep in another room with the baby who sleeps in the travel cot ( which cost about £40 which is a lot less than a night out costs ) we bought for them, the dogs sleep with oh in our bedroom. Most dogs could get onto a table, Abby has on occasion jumped up on one of our dining room tables to clean up any crumbs, she gets on a chair then on to the table. Terri
  6. I've taken to yelping DO NOT TOUCH THE DOGS at children when I see their hands reaching out to my two. Ailsa used to freak out when she saw children running towards her, I lost count of how many of them would scream ''ooooo fluffy dog'' and lunge at her. My seven month old grandson who is crawling everywhere has started taking tantrums cause I won't let him touch the dogs, that bairn is gong to be a right handful . Terri
  7. You would be surprised at the amount of people who believe they are the same organisation and that the sspca is part of the rspca. I do tell people who mention the rspca and Scotland in the same breath that they are different and they honestly didn't know that they don't operate here. Some of the people up here no doubt did intend to donate money to the rspca but we are hearing and reading that a lot of people did'nt. The comment about the rspca not advertising up here don't know if it was deliberate or not but I've certainly seen their ads in our regional papers, I've also seen ads for the sspca, can anyone down south tell me if you've seen ads in your papers for the sspca. I only give money to charities that don't pay out a fortune in wages or for fancy buildings, which kinda discounts both the sspca and the rspca. Terri
  8. From what I've heard/read the sspca have been in talks with the rspca for the past 6 months but they have been getting nowhere, they feel that this is their last resort. Terri
  9. Can they be older pictures or must they be ones taken in this years snow, we have had very little of the white stuff up here.
  10. They should have been booted out of the job, I won't repeat what my oh ( retired police officer ) called them. Terri
  11. Thank you Em who's the one who's told her dad she won't be able to watch her mum as often as she does cause she want's to see more of her great niece and nephew . They know what contraceptives are they just forget to use the bloody things.
  12. We got leaflets through the door this morning from the sspca saying exactly the things that have been in the papers. Mrs Mop I remember reading a few years ago about someone up here leaving her house and her money to the rspca, whether that was intention or not we'll never know, it was a helluva lot more than £100,000. I have had people at the door trying to get money for the sspca but not the rspca. Terri
  13. Grandbrat no 1 who was 7 months a few days ago has started crawling. It's quite dark as I took it on my bog standard camera. The wee swine can also pull himself up onto the couch and shuffles along it. He loves crawling after the dogs which is a big no no, I told him of a few times and he had a temper tantrum , he pulled his hand away from me and started screaming at me. Terri
  14. Thank you , I'm getting used to the idea that there's going to be another one driving me nuts Terri
  15. Some of you might remember that I became a gran last year ( twice ) well one of the little sod's has gone and done it again. My youngest daughter Claire is going to be a mum in September, she sent me a txt to tell me, nothing wrong with that but she was sitting beside me when she sent it. I told her dad and one of the first things he said to me was '' txt Kirsty ( our daughter in America )and tell her to forget it'' . It feels totally different this time. Terri who is secretly pleased
  16. The sspca are seemingly spending £100,000 on the campaign , I hope though that it does make people sit up and be aware of who they are donating their money to, I have in the past read about people from up here leaving vast amounts of money to the rspca, I don't however know if they meant to do that or not they might well have. News report Terri
  17. News from the sspca Just got the above in an e-mail, it was also on the local news some of the Scottish papers are also carrying full page adds. It's amazing how many people don't know that the rspca and the sspca are two entirely different organizations. Terri
  18. We've had snow but it's not lying as the ground is wet.. Terri
  19. Loads of 's for you and Chance It cost £100 to have Ailsa cremated and the insurance company paid for it. Terri
  20. Good god that photo is horrific, what a pathetic fine. The pair of them should have gone to jail for that. Have fun at the bridge gorgeous Terri
  21. I've only done the gala day over the road from me and all I had to pay was the cost of the stall, the insurance was paid by the organisers, I suppose different organisations will have different rules. What about car boot sales do you have to show it there. Terri
