  1. Such sad news Michelle Sheena knew how much she was loved by everyone and that love surrounded her all the time. She could never be alone Run Young and happy at the Bridge Sheena, you beautiful girl
  2. Can I be cheeky and also ask for a copy of all of them? I'm hoping to buy kennels and would very much love to have a greyhound rescue. Any help would be much appreciated
  3. Tomlinsons have changed hands since then and the new owners are great. Really, really can recommend them. They are quite expensive, but I think you pay for what you get. The Coalville one, I'm afraid I've heard not so good reports about. Can't comment from a personal point of view, but a good friend has heard bad things. I think Ruby is due a dental too Dawn Poor Finn. She is fine other than that and loves life in general! Still gets scared when meeting new people for the first time, but is getting better about it. The other 2 are a Greyhound from White Lodge called Morty (gorgeous Blue boy with white spots) and Annie a lurcher from Freshfields who is an oldie, but still thinks she is about 2. Give me a few months Dawn and i'll hopefully have my own kennels and you'd be welcome to board your lot anytime!
  4. I shan't ever forget how kind you were to me at my time of crisis Cheryl. I didn't know you from Adam, but you were there and you have a heart of gold.
  5. So sorry to hear yet more sad news on the refuge. Your heart must be breaking Sweet Angel, you truly are. Fly free and be happy at the Bridge
  6. Hiya Dawn, How're you doing - very long time no see! I could whole heartedly recommend Tomlinsons Kennels at Markfield. Not sure on the kennel sizes though, so you'd have to give them a ring, but they're brill. Hows the gorgeous Finn and the others? Sarah (with skitty Ruby and a couple of new ones you wouldn't know)
  7. Really sorry to hear your sad news Kazz. I know you must be devastated Run young, free and happy at the Bridge Max
  8. Wow, what a gorgeous portrait. You're very clever
  9. Theres no doubt about it Chris, anyone who fostered him would've failed. I was just lucky to get in there first!
  10. Phew, good news! Apparently some dogs may have an allergy to Christmas Cacti, but its not poisonous. She may be sick but its highly unlikely. basically treat as normal! Not sure what possessed her to do it, but lesson learned, I will now have to move my other Christmas Cacti out of the way (big beautiful thing which has just finished flowering). Perhaps she was dead heading it for me
  11. I can't believe how quickly that year has just gone! HAPPY GOTCHA DAY GORGEOUS GIRLIE
  12. My muppet of a lurcher has decided that after 2 years of living with a christmas cacti in the same place, today she would eat it! Having looked on the internet about whether its poisonous or not, I decided to play safe and ring the vets. Now I'm waiting for them to ring the poison centre and come back to me (£11.00 lighter in the pocket!) Has anyone had any experience of a dozy lurcher eating the same kind of plant and what happened? Its hard to say whether shes more quiet than normal as shes eaten her dinner and is now asleep, which is normal for her.
  13. I was thinking of you and Sol today Alison. Glad to hear you think it went well - I'm sure it did (as if they could think of you or Sol as a complete pair of nutters ). Bet you've both passed with flying colours!
  14. Am loving this thread too Out of 7 dogs at our house, we have 4 over the age of 11: Lucy the eldest at 13 1/2 (but going on 3 1/2!) Then we have Annie, who we think is around 12 Then Pheobe who is 11 1/2 and last but not least, Kyle who is also 11 1/2
  15. Really sorry to hear this news Run free at the Bridge Dino
  16. Oh Dog, thats awful too. His poor daughters
  17. I fly in from Prague on that day - I will pray for a safe crossing for you and your animals It'll soon come round. How exciting. We'll have to have a fugee get together in Annes honour!
  18. Ouch, that sounds painful I think you can cry if you want to (I can feel a song coming on.... ) Alison, just seen your post. Are you OK (apart from having cars blow up on you!)? Hope you can get a car sorted soon (hugs)
  19. Anne's excitement is infectious When do you set off Anne? Hapy, happy, happy - hubby has just cooked a lovely dinner of smoked cod, asparagus, mash and a lovely low fat mushroom lemony sauce. He should cook more often!
  20. Morty wanted to thank everyone for their good wishes especially Millie, who he hasn't seen for aaaaggggeeessss. Although he does keep this photo by his bed:
  21. I managed to leap on them before they did any serious damage to each other, but poor Lucy shouldn't have to worry about being attacked at her age. I feel so selfish because I could never rehome either dog, even if it could be in their best interest. Just can't do it
  22. Or interviewees who don't even turn up for their interview and don't bother to phone to say they can't make it!
