    Plaque Off

It's helped with my lurcher girls bad breath, and her teeth are comming more whiter now, from what ive heard if theres a lot of plack then it wont work, but if its just staning, or a bit of plack, then people have found it work's.
  3. Theres not much about it for dog's, but theres some info hear, although it is for people, most of it you can use for dogs, http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/a...qaweil0531.html you could possably try swimming or somthing like that to strenthen the affected area.

    Hair Loss

Our penny's hair has started looking very thin on both side's of her trunk, although her hair has always been wispy, and she looses it on her belly and the back of her legs, every time she moults, this time though the hair loss is more noticeable, sometimes it almost looks like there's a reddish tinge to her skin aswell, shes fine in herself, no scratching, nothing except hair loss, she is a lurcher, is there anything i can give her to help with the hair loss every time she moults.

    Plt Tablets

Our pennys on them at the moment, long turm they can cause a lot of damage, she doing well on them, but shes put on a bit of weight and her appertite has gone through the roof, she dident respond to any of the other medication they give her, as shes got arthritis and sponduloses, at the moment were trying accupunche in the hope we can get her off the tablet's full stop, she only has a low dose, so long walks would still take it out of her, so far shes had accupunche twice and shes doing really well, even did a 2 hour walk up winter hill today, no stiffness no limping nothing .
  8. Thank's, for all the help , unfortunaly with kitkat he took a turn for the worst, and had to be rushed up to liverpool university, the origanal op that he had. had completly closed up and he was unable to wee, the vet tryed to re-operate on the origanal site but it wouldent have worked, to much damage. so he did a subpubic operation, although there is more risk of urine burns, infections, and a risk of incontance, we decided the risk's involved were small and give him a chance, luckaly he's been fine, he had the op three weeks ago now,he had slight incontance at the bigining, but that seems to have resolved it's self, he's now back to his normal checky ,happy, pain in the but self , although we have to keep an eye on the op site for burns, and it's not easy when you have to look at his belly now insted of the back end , he still had a bit of protin and blood in his urine, but were monitering that, as he cant take Ab's anymore, as there making him sick, but for the moment he seems fine, and is eating the urinary food like it's going out of fashion.

    Cleaning Ears

Try some ear drops, even if you go to the vets thats more than likely what they'd give you green tea is good for cleaning ears out, but if you want to buy, the leo ear cleaner is a good one, put the drops in give them a few minuites to work then use a cotton ball to clear what comes out.
  10. thanks for that , it sometimes feels like the light at the end of the tunnal is there then it disapers again. since the operation he's been back a few times, and had to be re-cathertrised, the infection has now gone but the site were he was operated on keeps blocking with scar tisue, as he keep's straining (thinking there's going to be pain) he's making it worse so it keeps swelling, he's been on so many drugs, and was given valium this morning but it dident help, so had to go back in and be catherised again, he came home at 7.00pm and is now weeing again on his own how long for i dont know, as he is fine for a few days then it start's again were he cant go, feel like i might aswell book a perminant room there .
  11. thanks for that, just spoke to the vet's and he's now weeing again, there going to review him later on to see how hes going, and if hes still weeing, but they think it was an infection this time, thats caused it to swell.
  12. hi Brunzara, he's on the specalist food allready, it took a while before he would eat it, it seamed to be working but then he blocked up again, so there must be something else going on. hi Muriel yes to the Reiki please, i think he needs all the help he can get at this mo, i am going to speek to the vets about homapathic/holistic, as i dont think another operation is the way, and would probably cause more stress, and not help/cure the inital problem, when i spoke to the vets about food and things, they are seeing more cats in with this problem through the food there eating, especaly one food inperticular, i think if i ever get anymore cats, food will be choosen verry carfully, so this never happens again. and thanks for the links.
  13. Hi 3 weeks ago i had to rush my cat to the vets, he had a blockage that ment he couldnt wee they operated on him, and made the opening in to what a girl would have, after spending over a week in the vets, he was let home, and had to go on medicated food, everything was fine untill today when he blocked again, so is back in the vets again tonight, they are on about operating again, but this time by a specalist in london doing it, is there anything i can give him to help, the blockage was caused by struvite crystals, he is getting verry stressed when i have to take him to the vets, and with this specalist being in london just taking him down is going to be verry stressfull for both of us .

    Nosodes

The only way she could have got it is from one of my other's,as they have had more contact with new dogs recantly, puppy is a nurvous dog, and in situations gets verry frightend by everything new,( it took me 10 minuites to get her in the vet's), so everything has to be slow, so it's verry rare she gets to meet new dogs, as she will just plonk her self down and wont move, untill she gets to know them, tbh in all the years i've had dogs this is the first time i've had to deal with kc, so it's been a bit of a learning curve, thanks for all your help,

    Nosodes

thank's for that info ,we are thinking that she has caught ( "Bordetella " it can be transmitted for up to three months by dogs that are not showing any signs of infection. These carrier dogs act as important sources of infection for susceptible, in-contact dogs. ) and seeing as they have never been near a dog showing any signs, it's the only possable explination all ready done it and got some verry good advice, http://forum4you.biz/forums/homeohealing.html this is the one.

    Nosodes

I recantly put my dogs on the Combination Nosode, which includes kennel cough in it, over the last week or so one of my dogs has been coughing(like theres somthing stuck there) on and off,but it's not been continus, took her to the vet's, and she's got a upper respotory infection and a bit of a high temp, so vet diagnosed kennel cough, and perscribed rimadyl 20mg and oxycare 250mg, i explained that she'd not been near any other dogs (except my own) and that she was on the nosodes, and the vet told me that the nosode's could have caused it and to take her and keep her off them, and that my other dogs would have probably caught it aswell (but they have been fine), has anyone ever experianced this, and should i take them off the nosodes,(which i'am reluctant to do), dosage for the nosode is 1 tablet x 3 times daily for 3 days, then 1 tablet weekly for 6 weeks, then 1 tablet monthly for 6 months, they have just finished the 1 tab for 6 weeks, and are due to go on the monthly one.
  18. Have read of this, http://www.vetinfo.com/dbladder.html#Antib...der%20infection also has she had any x-rays done to make sure there are no stones presant,as you say hear that she has been straining to wee, and been in a lot of pain, if not better to get them done, just to rule stones out.
  19. http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/Internet_an...owsers-f26.html try these people they helped me a lot when i had a p2p virus, that kept throwing popups at me every 2 minuites.
  20. Could be a touch of colitis, our penny has had it a coupple of times, can be kicked off by stress or new foods, normal vet addvice is a bland diet untill its cleared up, its probbley the bone that's started it if he's never had them before.
