  1. Hello, I brought lots of used stamps with me to the camping weekend, and still have them as no one seemed to know who handled the stamps... I have lots more as I collect them from everyone at work, and usually give them to Bath Cats and Dogs Home, but if you can use them, I can post them. Also, how do they convert into money, that's the bit I have never understood! As the dogs home take all types, not just picture ones etc. Thank you (also, will get to putting my pics up soon, I promise!) x
  2. Awwwww, first in line for kisses with polly please!!!!! xxxx
  3. Wow, thank you - thats lots of useful info - lots to think about!!
  4. Ordered mine properly this time - I hope it arrives on time for the weekend! Cher, do you still want me to order one for you - text me if you do and I'll order it today xx
  5. Awwww, she's gorgeous - well done Tess!!! xx
  6. Im so sorry I have just spotted this too, I was so keen to pass on his details, sleep tight little felllow xxxx
  7. This can be closed now, I hadn't remembered I'd posted this on here - but Harry has been home safe since last Monday xx
  8. Hi, I have logged his details at Bath Cats and Dogs Home (I volunteer there on Sundays), so if he gets to there, someone should be able to get him back to his owners x
  9. ok called the vets, its nobivac and the vet nurse will check with the vet and call me back around 2.30 to let me know what the live shedding time is! So basically if its over 3 days, then its best or everyone else's dogs that we don't get it done today - is that right? I had no idea it was so complicated, mine never go into kennels, and I suddenly thought about it on Friday! xx
  10. Thank you, I'm still very keen to do something - I just feel all this kenetic energy to do/say something but with little idea of what! I think my little Jack Russell could hinder a silent vigil.... ohh what about dog collars on the ground in Trafalgar Square or somewhere busy and central, to highlight all the dogs PTS since the dangerous dogs act... although this sounds familar, so maybe someone else said they had done that before?? xx
  11. Thank you for all the replies - they don't mix with other dogs except for these weekends or the very rare walk with other dogs. The vet said they should be ok for friday with the one they use as they know we are going away on Friday for the camping weekend (they know all about our Oldies Camping weekends!) xx
  12. last year one of my girls had kennel cough shortly after the weekend, what is your opinion on the vaccs? I have them booked in for this afternoon, but have visions of them all sneezing right after its been done and £90 sneezed all over me by the woofies! I would always rather be safe in getting it done, but what do you do? - do your dogs get the vaccs... mine are all very old, but well xx
  13. Oh my goodness, the rules around doing a march is crazy!!! I'll have a bit more of a think on it, but I do think its something that would hit the news in DNB defence, marches always seem to.....just seems like government make it so hard that there is no longer freedom of speech -more like £1000 to be a bit quiet still please! ps. that t shirt wording is much better! xx
  14. Yayyyyyy - a week to go for us too!! So exciting!!! xxxxxxx
  15. Can we organise one? Can I? I know it may or may not have any impact, but I was thinking if we could do a dog owners march/walk (hobble for some of our furry friends!) to Number 10, either of bull breeds, but ideally all breeds and mixes just to show solidarity? I thought it might make an impact to have lots of diff breeds, and some hand made tshirts perhaps for them so its not expensive, with potential killer on the back of all the dogs that have been a known breed to have bitten - which will pretty much be all breeds, as we know, its not about the breed! What do you think - it might be a way to open peoples eyes when they see a cute cocker or Yorkie with potential killer t shirt, and bring home what is happening?? I want to do something that makes a statement, even if it falls on deaf ears - something that will give a positive message to the media about our love and care for all dogs, and how my staffies, like many others demonised friends, are lovely dogs! What do you think? I guess if no one wants to take it on formally I can still do it - so if you're interested, I'd be keen to know xxxx If you think this will make matters worse - of course, please let me know, I have far less experience than you on here
  16. Barb, love the analogy of a memory like a cheese plant, I'm the same - what a great comment!!! That tickled me Looking forward to the camping weekend soooo much hopefully we'll get a scorcher!! xxx
  17. It wasn't possible to link to the page as it was on the home page, but it has gone now, either removed or because its an article from yesterday - having said that, I can't even find the article now! xx
  18. Its on the right, there is a tab on Iran then its the third one along at the top under the big picture - its like an acrylics painting picture...
  19. Awwww, what a handsome fellow indeed! xx
  20. I may be over the top with this but the homepage under Online Extremism there is a picture of an English Bull Terrier next to the headline Hate 2.0 The Rise of Online Extremism (if you click the tab of this name). Then if you hover your cursor over the picture it is logged as picture of a pit bull - 1. English Bull Terrier isn't a pitbull as I'm sure you know. 2. Its completely irrelevant, so yet again they are demonising a breed in the press! I'm really irrate about this and my complaint has been logged - link to the pic is www.bbc.co.uk and the complaints phone number is 03700 100 222. x

  22. Is there any news on a home for Mattie? x
  23. I co-ordinate for the Bath & Bristol region for Doglost, and hoping by networking the info, someone may have had a sighting, or know if anyone has picked him up! xxxxx http://www.doglost.co.uk/Page.aspx?data=pzp8JrdCfxmOYLL7ThMH8cgDIBGNb_3527OSiat%2fDSB9DVF5GXNTxJvs865JEJSlyCP Male Bichon Frise escaped out of the gate on Saturday evening around 4.30, I saw the owner on Sunday and the family are devastated – this is a small dog, 4 yrs old - please spread the word!
  24. Bath Cats and Dogs Home are offering a reduced price on microchipping until the end of June of £15 - I believe there are also vouchers that you can buy until the end of June that are valid for 6 months. Just might be useful for you to know if you are in the area and know anyone that could make use of this xx
  25. Cher - looking forward to the raspberry vodka again! I would love 6 eggs if still possible, but no undue pressure on yours laying ladies of course! I'm really looking forward to this - I generally cater for myself, I have 2 scroungers and one that whimpers if I leave her side, unless she stays with Cher, so its easier for me that way, however once the food is down my neck, I'll pop by to share in a drink or two xx
