  1. Hi Karen, I buy my GSE over the internet. Look for Citricidal by Higher Nature - like this one http://www.bodykind....tract%20%2045ml This is defintely the best and the one I use and recommend to everyone. You can sometimes get it on Ebay for a very good price. Oh and I forgot to say, you only need about 12 drops in about 100ml of water which you can keep for a whole day, so you aren't going to need huge quantities.
  2. Karen have you got any Grapefruit Seed Extract, because if you do (or can get hold of it) dilute it down in water and use it to bathe the affected area. It is fabulous stuff for just this sort of situation. I know Sarah used it on Flora when she had her hip operation. Prior to that Flora always used to get the same kind of reaction as Rosie, with the GSE it lasted a day and then was gone. I have used it for all sorts of skin problems and infections and wouldn't be without my bottle by my side. It can also be used internally for parasites. Anne
  3. So sorry to hear this Cher. Sleep tight Polly darling
  4. Having been living with and married to a pilot for past 22 years, I know exactly what you mean about it being hard to be part of their world. I have spent probably nearly 20 of those years seeing him maybe 2 days a week if I am lucky as I worked full time. I gave up full time work two years ago and it is strange to spend so much time together. We have always had our other hobbies and lives so that the relationship worked. It is important. Believe you me, you don't want to go to pilots office parties or parties where there are lots of other pilots, they are the most boring things on this planet. Our two closest friends - who now live in France - were both pilots, one on helicopters like my husband and his wife was a fixed wing. I felt like a spare part most of the time, never understood a word they talked about. It sounds like Steve has really decided that he doesn't like life without you, going to your mum's party tonight will be a big thing. Good luck Kelly and enjoy Tunisia
  5. I will be back in the UK on the dates you are looking for and we will be back at the house. It is our UK home that I was offering you a loan of. I will try pming you with my email address so we don't clog up the list. Anne
  6. We have a house in Repton, South Derbyshire and are not using it from 26th September to 3rd October so if you want to rent that give me a shout. Completely enclosed garden (6ft wall) and walks aplenty including acres of the new National Forest. We are also about 15 miles from Ashbourne which is the Gateway to the Peak District. Three large bedrooms - two bathrooms - dog friendly !!!! Anne
  7. My first dog suffered from kidney failure and he recovered to live until 14 years old. But his was caused by dry food and not drinking enough - not disease. There are several natural things can could be used to help and if you look up B-Naturals on the web you will find loads of info on kidney diets and treatments.
  8. Good, I am glad the dogs will get some justice.
  9. Ahh Selina, my heart goes out to you. Run free Ollie. You have been welcomed at the Bridge by some wonderful friends who got there before you to make it comfy. Sleep well old boy
  10. Huge sigh of relief that the results were so positive. to you all
  11. Hi - know about this, dear old Barty has spondylosis and my old girl Merrie had Ankylosing spondylitis. You need to know which one it is. Spondylosis is basically arthritis of the spine - here is the Wiki entry on it - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ankylosis and is normally treated either with acupuncture or homeopathy or the allopathic route of tramadol and/or a NSAID. AS is a horrid disease akin to rheumatoid arthritis and marches relentlessly on. Here is a link that explains the differene - http://www.patient.co.uk/health/Ankylosing-Spondylitis.htm Either way - it is treatable and I really hope it is just spondylosis - this is really easily treatable and especially where you live there are two brilliant acupuncturists - one at Mansfield Woodhouse and one at Ashbourne who can help Cassie live with this disease for many, many years. love and hugs Anne

Lovely dog, fantastic view and a wonderful achievement. Shame on that cafe what are dog walkers supposed to do???
  13. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhh - she is absolutely beautiful. Such a lovely colour
  14. to you and Chris. Ollie will find a way to let you know when the time is right - they always do
  15. Oh loads of positive thoughts coming your way. I don't know Sid, but I sure wish I did.
  16. Happy gotcha day gorjus. Love your colour and love your breed.
  17. I personally have always gone the quality of life route and it doesn't sound like Olls is having a great deal of fun. The drinking, peeing and permanently hungry are very common side effects of pred and the panting also. Poor soul, but do wean him off them if you do decide to go that route because after several months on these things his body will be addicted to them. Love and hugs to you all - not an easy decision for you to make
  18. Yes, you are a bit far to pop along. But that was impressive with Dylan - I am definitely up for a new challenge and poor Chloe is the designated challenge. Barty's poorly hips preclude him from ever being precise enough and because I have competed before (and got up to working B) I am not allowed to enter him in the lower classes. Onwards and upwards.
  19. Whereabouts are you based Vera, I would love to pop along and see your dog working one day. Perhaps it would encourage me to do obedience with Barty - now there's a challenge
  20. Bet you don't see many others doing it with a saluki tho. I have heard that one of the two better people have got huskies as they want more of a CHALLENGE than their usual border collies. I shall be all right as long as there are no rabbits anywhere near the showground as recall disappears out of the window when small furries appear.
  21. Love the cover girl one !!!
  22. If you are worried about your dogs getting KC why don't you use the homeopathic nosodes as a preventative especially as they are older. The only time my previous dogs got kennel cough was when they were given the vaccine and as they got older it was nasty. Haven't given a kennel cough vaccine in years and my dogs never get it.
  23. Snap, I thought I was the only loony thinking about doing it with a husky cross - but a SALUKI ....................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg
  24. What a beautiful, beautiful girl. Happy gotcha day I hope you enjoy your steak and sausages. Can I have some too ????
  25. You poor thing Ange, I am not surprised you were upset. I would have been in the same situation. I really hope that they keep that lurcher safe in future and that the missing dog is found very soon.
