  1. Sally is a dream dog. Well behaved, empties her food bowl, slept through the night, clean in the house, walks nicely on lead, no aggression to other dogs she meets.....is this the calm before the storm and another truer character will appear as she settles more? Somehow I think this is just how she really is....a perfect little cutie who nobody could help falling for!
  2. Hope the video works for you.......Meet Sally, a 12 year old lurcher girlie just come in to the care of the Oldies Club who we are lucky enough to be chosen as foster home for. Sorry the video is so poor but I took it by accident never having worked out how to operate the video feature on my digicam and it was meant to be a 'still' picture. She is absolutely gorgeous, lovely nature with a true greyhound head and long narrow feet but I reckon probably crossed with a collie from her coat which is longer and rough on her neck and shoulder area. She is doing fine with my two and sleeping right now after a walk together along our riverbank. She can actually 'sit' (first hound I've had that could) and loves gravy bones. She is a real heart stealer, very waggy tailed and happy and going to be a dream to live with I would think.
  3. Very best wishes for Bailey's continued improvement.
  4. So very sorry for your suffering poor lad. At least you left this world surrounded by love at the end and now run free happy and healthy forever more.
  5. Sounds like she got some treatment just in time and with a bit of luck she will still have many happy and healthy years to enjoy. Good luck little one.
  6. What a lovely girl Hope she has some healthy, happy years still ahead of her.
  7. So sorry to read of your loss. Fly free sweet boy, happy and healthy once more.
  8. Very best wishes for everything to go smoothly for you and Ollie.
  9. So glad to hear everything is going well for this old boy.
  10. Wonderful how things work out in the end. May they have long and happy lives with their new family.
  11. Best wishes for speedy and complete healing for this lovely lad.
  12. Glad this is sorted and they will soon be safe. Must admit I would have been surprised if the greyhound lovers and the various greyhound rescues around did not respond with offers of help once the need was made known. Well done all involved in rescuing these and giving them a chance of new loving forever homes.
  13. Such a pity after waiting so long but at least they came back so quickly they hardly had time to get upset by the move. So glad their foster family could take them back though and hopefully they will get another chance which will work out just right for them.
  14. Will definitely take some greyhound ones if you manage to get any.
  15. Don't suppose you can get hold of any greyhound ones?
  16. That's OK Fee......I just wondered is all. I suppose there is no way people could send the stamps direct on behalf of the OC to save the double P&P? The postage seemed high to me for a relatively small parcel of stamps and I just wanted the OC to benefit as much as possible. Will continue to save and send anyway in the hopes that every little helps.
  17. Surely someone, whoever organises this, must know if it is actually worth the expense of sending the stamps to be forwarded? Doesn't seem to be much point in continuing to save them if the OC would get more benefit from just the cost of the P&P to send them.
  18. Just wondered if these are still viable and if anyone knows how much the OC gets for them? I just posted off a 0.350kg parcel of them today and the P&P cost almost £2. Obviously I'd like to know if they are worth more than this to the OC, otherwise I might as well just send the money instead. Does anyone know please?

Very best wishes for positive results for Rosie.
  20. Well it is easy to see how you would find it hard to part with such a handsome boy. Hope he has many happy years with his new family though and you will be able to foster more wonderful oldies as time goes by.

Very best wishes for Rosie. Hope all is going well with her and she is soon safely home with you again.
  22. Lovely to see so many rehomed and now happy again. Seems like there will be even more need in the coming year though, with the current financial situation and the Oldies Club will be needed more than ever to help as many as possible. Well done all involved.
  23. Have lit a candle today for our dear old Ragsy girl who left us this May. Our first Christmas without you special girl. We miss you so and will never forget you. Comforting thoughts for all who are missing a special friend this Christmas.
  24. Good luck Bruce. Hope you are in a lovely warm home by Christmas.
