Up until 2007 I always trained my own dogs, then I discovered the fun of traing classes. So not sure about the compulsory training idea. I have always, even as a child, been around large powerful dogs so grew up large dog savvy. I do think though that something has to be done, ie dog register and or some kind of strict one of training, to prove you are capable and responsible enough to have a potentially powerful dog. I like the idea of breeders/rescues being responsible too

Ttouch - How Has It Helped Your Dog/cat/horse/skunk?

Can anyone recommend a good book that is easy to understand. -
Hi and welcome, I have a nutty springer too Congrats on Jasper

I could never part with my springer, he is my best bud and I will be devastated when I lose him. But the breed I could never be without would have to be Rotties. I had my first rott 14 years ago and I have been without one since but felt like something was missing. No other breed comes close for me.

Dog Dies In The Name Of Art (threads Merged Again)
fuzzielady replied to Trallwm farm's topic in Animal Chat
Signed. If he had fed the poor dog and taken pics of it's recovery THAT would have been art. For the poor dog -
Could that not be a case of befriending the enemy. It could be that it is easier to help the animals etc if the owners had some trust/respect for the DW

It would be bad enough if he had little or no human interaction. Then they could possibly try the excuse "I didn't notice". He shows all the signs of having lots of human company though so how could they possibly not see. This poor man has been in a lot of pain. I know prey animals can be good at not showing how much pain they are in. They have to have seen the wounds and sores though. Big hugs Murphy

Hi I am Helena. I have a springer (louie) and 2 rescue rotties, Josie and Max. Josie was official and Max was the result of being a failed fosterer. Thankfully I have enough room to have failed but still continue I also have 8 ferrets and a cat.
