    Poppy

    They're both beautiful
  2. Meg is a two year old GSD x Collie with a docked tail; fine with kids but boisterous; recall not good so needs training; not known if spayed. Currently in boarding kennels where she is very stressed so she needs to go to a home as soon as possible. Must go to a home where someone is there most of the time or she will become stressed. Meg is desperate for affection and attention and is very loving. Not known how she is with cats. Please call Jane Shepherd on 01327 858238 or 07977 555238 if you are interested in Meg. Meg is so stressed in kennels that she is ripping her own pads open by trying to get out. She is seeing the vet to try and find a way to prevent this but what she really needs is a home.
  3. Trudy, probably 8/9 years old; possibly epileptic but on very reduced drugs now and the Trust will pay for these if they remain necessary; lovely sweet natured dog who must be got out of kennels asap. Permanent foster home will be accepted if full re-homing is not offered. She is not spayed. Trudy is currently in boarding kennels and is in the care of The Algernon Trust. Please call Jane Shepherd on 01327 858238 or 07977 555238 if you are interested in her.
  4. Mickey is nine months old, a lurcher cross who has lived with cats and children. He would suit a family looking for a second dog as Mickey likes other dogs and would love to live with a canine companion. He needs training and will have to be neutered but he is a loving, lively youngster who will probably grow into quite a large dog. Mickey is currently in boarding Kennels near Silverstone and is in the care of The Algernon Trust. Please call Jane Shepherd on 01327 858238 or 07977 555238 if you are interested in Mickey.
  5. But Cher, you love her so much... I'm sure you'll forgive her
  6. Thanx everyone, he is a wonderful boy I was lucky to find another dog to fit in so well after Karli died - I still say she had a paw in Zeus coming to live with us, how else could I have found such a perfect dog so easily? He's not always as active as he was when those pics were taken. At the time I was doing the original post, he was fast asleep on his sofa... much the same as where he is now actually!!
  7. Why not just ask the provider to transfer the £9 as credit off his first bill?
  8. Healing thoughts for Tammy (and you!)
  9. It is not how my cats live and I don't like to think of any cat living that way, especially not when they have been used to being inside in the warm - at that age they need to be warm surely?

    Piddly Cats

May be worth getting a few feliway difussers in case it is anything territory related, could be a protest too - I always know when I've upset my Cornish as he pees on my clothes that are waiting to be washed!!
  11. Zeus has now been with me for five and a half years, he will be seven in March and his gotcha day is in June. When he first came to me he was so lost - five different homes in just fifteen months had left him so confused, his eyes were empty... totally expressionless, not even sad as he had gone beyond that. He had given up One month on he was smiling - Six months later, he was thriving! Yesterday we went to the birthday party of one of Zeus's doggy friends and took part in lots of fun obedience competitions. He didn't win any prizes, but he came second four times and I am so proud of him for doing so well - he was competing against dogs that attend classes every week, as well as some dogs owned by professional trainers! He did so well that I went to the pet shop to buy him one of the toys he had been wanting but didn't manage to win My lovely boy was rejected by so many people before he found his way to me... they had no idea what a cracking friend they were discarding so thoughtlessly!! This pic was taken just a few days ago on one of our walks -

    Rosie

I think that bed needs to go with Rosie when she goes to her new home Cher...
  13. Mine used to love the tesco value ones, but recently won't touch them...
  14. Very lucky kitty!! So brave too...
  15. It is lovely to think that Daphne is around and giving a helping paw. Her death made no sense at all at the time, but now I'm wondering if she had to go so she could help from the other side? I have been able to take in two very needy cats since Daphne left, one very nervous like she was - I think she wanted me to help him too
  16. I was seriously worried about how I was going to feed my kitties over Christmas and new year as I have no work and no income over that two weeks... Filled the food bowl this morning (they have three pint glasses of dry food between them daily) and realised the bag was almost gone Went into the pet shop earlier, just to make sure everything was ready for the charity fundraiser I've been planning for weeks (Christmas raffle draw, local radio, etc.) and left with over 300 sachets of cat food!! They're almost out of date, but my cats don't mind that - it'll be a real treat for them to have wet food every day! Now, the really interesting part of this... I lost my Daphne on Feb 1st this year. She died in a truly horrific way and I found her body... Daphne was a beautiful white girl with blue eyes - she was born here and was with me her whole life. On these sachets of food, there is a white cat with blue eyes...

    Signature

Every time I try to edit my signature it says it's too long, but others have much longer signatures so I don't understand...
  19. My name is Leo and I am about four years old, and I am FIV positive. Because of this I need a home where I will not come into contact with other cats, I may also be able to live with other cats that are also FIV positive. Some people worry about taking on a cat with FIV, but really I'm no different to any other cat. I have so much love to give, could you love me back? I am in Buckinghamshire, England but can travel a reasonable distance for the right home.
  20. Spot goes into kennels tomorrow so we'll find out what he's like with other dogs then. He is entire and his elderly owner hasn't been able to walk him for a long time so he's quite nervous, but is fine with people when he knows they are OK. I am hoping to have a photo soon and will update you when we know how Spot is with other dogs.
  21. Does anyone have room to foster (or adopt) a little JRT boy whose dad has had to go into a hospice (terminal cancer )? He's currently in the care of The Algernon Trust. This boy is about seven years old and is a real sweetheart but doesn't know if he is coming or going at the moment.
  22. Thanx everyone Spuds will be staying with me now - he is happy and settled here, but still terrified of strangers understandably. He came into my bedroom last night and chirruped to wake me up, once I'd said hello he chirruped again and trotted off - think he was just checking to make sure I was still here for him!
