  2. Hi all So sad to say that Pippa became quite unwell over the last couple of days & after consultation with the vet the best thing for her was to let her run free & happy again. She had a peaceful end and a happy couple of weeks with me. Rest in peace sweetheart

  12. Allergies are a difficult one... my lovely (now deceased ) springer virtually ate her feet & her back end crying with itching..I'm not sure if it was pure luck or what but we took her to an emergency appointment one saturday at the vet, saw a differnt vet & he said straight away seen it before its an allergy to animal protein...ok I was dubious but put her on wafcol vegetarian food & gave veg etc to brighten it up...she ate it the itching stopped. I did get a lot of ribbing as I am a very strict vegetarian but wouldn't enforce it on anyone else. I know it was the right diagnosis for her because when I went a way for a weekend a well meaning relative fed her meat & it all started again, just in a mild form but as soon as it was out her system she was fine, worth a go maybe!
  13. He looks adorable, when i first got Elsa she was a whopping 36 kilogrammes! & was overweight!! my friend has a huge black lab & although he looks chunky he has a very large frame so is not overweight...he looks so munchy!
