  1. Sending lots of good thoughts for spider dog - hope the results are clear - stay positive ! spotty carpets are all the rage you know!
  2. Well I have dutifully sent my notes & pics to Liz....might be ages yet though before they get a home
  3. They would have to go together as they are very close & happy together - especially Roly who licks & kisses Snoopey a lot of the time. They have the same mother so I have been told but from different litters...hard to see really so true heinz 57's! They aren't bothered if one is upstairs & 1 down but do get worried if they haven't seen each other for a while They have adapted to life indoors no problem after 1 day so far,it would seem they both realise the sofa is nicer than a kennel!
  4. Good luck Mollie...spelt your name wrong on my donation hope you don't mind! Well done to all of you for saving her
  5. Here they are relaxing after a stressful day! http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff105/m...et/100_1545.jpg They were both as good as gold having a bath this morning & they smell so much sweeter
  6. Nothing compares to my Elsie From being 'outside' kenneled dogs they are like bookends on the sofa now - so sweet...cindy take them off me quick!
  7. http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff105/m...et/dogs_002.jpg my new foster oldies have arrived, the scruffy grey one is Roly & the other Snoopey. Apart from the fact they both need a good bath they are adorable so affectionate & their tails haven't stopped wagging yet! They will need a new home really quickly as I'm smitten already
  8. I certainly wouldn't expect to be paid to foster. I am fortunate that the vet bills are paid but any other day to day expenses & food I cover myself, but I am employed . I do agree with some of the points about unemployed/pensioners maybe being ideal foster carers but the extra cost of food could make all the difference to their budget. I guess the problem with being paid to do anything that is essentially something you would usually do as a volunteer is, it is open to abuse by some people seeing it as a way to make a few quid - you may as well set up business as a pet sitter & get paid. I think it would be fine if someone really wanted to foster and was given the money to cover food, treats, vet bills etc - for their time? no I really don't think that would be right.
  9. So glad she is home lets hope this is the start of her recovery the poor thing
  10. Agree totally OTT! now if I was to write an article about how other peoples badly behaved, noisy, messy children annoyed me and pestered my dogs I would be considered a harpee ! Live & let live I say, I accept dogs aren't for everyone but there are things that we all have to tolerate that don't sit well with us in society today! she needs some bigger things to think about

  14. What a great job you have done, she does look lovely, they are lovely dogs and it is unbelievable people dump them like that - I'm sure all will go well if not send her my way (but don't tell Cindy as she wont let me foster one!) ha ah
  15. Absolutely lovely...& I want the oldies they have so much to give & often expect nothing!
  16. I am so sorry it is such a hard decision to make but if we know them we know when its time & although it is so hard it is also a kind selfless thing to be able to help them when they need it most. safe journey
  17. I hope she improves - its rotten when they are unwell if only they could talk!
  18. I do so hope they can have him back - I would love to see his face if he is reunited with the children! Well done I imagine it was very hard to take him to kennels but because you care so much you have looked for other solutions & fingers crossed it will all work out, if it doesn't then you have done all you can
  19. She looks far too at home to move again & she has a fab new forever home...
  20. Just wonderful to know people are prepared to put it all right for her & that she still likes us humans! Good Luck BB
