  1. Wow Ange fantastic professional photos you really captured the day. GSD man was parked behind us and poor dog was completely stressed out but to watch that dog in the ring with him was amazing they had a very special bond and it certainly did bring a tear to the eye, gorgeous dog, as soon as it was over and they came out of the ring he picked him up and carried him back out of the way to watch from a distance.
  2. It was an absolute brilliant day again this year. Well done on the money raised that is a fantastic amount and so well deserved. As before the event was well organised and loads of fun. One of the highlights of our day was meeting Mattie and her new owners - they are so proud and loving and Mattie in the flesh is even more adorable than her photos, so sweet and gentle and so loving absolutely brilliant. Not quite sure how Kassi woodle managed Best in Show, but we are so proud of our little Staffie who slept all the way home, all night and again this morning. I think we can safely say she enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks to everyone who made it such a special day - can't wait for next year!
  3. Try not to let it upset you, some people on the internet are just plain idiots and like to go around causing all sorts of trouble. For some sad reason they get a kick out of it - why - goodness knows. I can understand how it must have made you feel at the time - it makes you go cold because it is directed at you and it is personal - but if you let it upset you they are the ones that are winning and getting the cyber kick that they are looking for. Try and think about all the nice things that have been said instead, you know its not you, Rob or the dogs that are wrong, it is just low life scum out to ruin someone's day.
  4. Kelly as Ange says ring your friend, get her to come over today, talk all afternoon, cry, rant, but be with someone who will just listen to what you have to say. You have tons of friends on here and whilst its only a computer it is still good to chat and does help. Take care of yourself and don't make yourself ill with it all.
  5. How sad it is to read this story, but how wonderful are you for taking them back Enjoy your holiday, relax you have done an amazing job!!
  6. I met a lovely doglet today who has been used as a breeding machine (just guessing here really) her latest litter having been rehomed a few weeks ago. She has saggy boobs and has started a season. No-one really knows how long ago she had the pups or how old they were when rehomed, and having experienced dogs with Pyometra I am concerned that this dog may be in trouble. She is not very swollen and there is definately blood and a small amount of discharge. She has been vet checked and is on antibiotics. I thought the next season came around 5 to 6 months after whelping in a healthy dog, but I am not sure. Your thoughts on this would be appreciated.
  7. That is just soooooo amazing. OH and I were in tears after watching that. He said I should show that to all our non-animal mates (especially the one who says animals don't have a brain and we are stupid if we think they have) I read some of the comments and it said both dogs are ok and doing well BillyMalc - so fingers crossed.
  8. I was dissapointed too. Out of the 600 people where I work only 8 of us, 4 adults and 4 pupils, went to chapel to observe the silence as nothing had been organised
  9. We are doing the same, the dishwasher is next, but holding off for a while. I like the idea of the cutlery tray on the Miele instead of the basket, they have good reviews on reevoo as well. All miele built to last 20 years - I like that bit.

    That is so very special
  11. Wow that house is lovely and so friendly. You have certainly got taste and an eye for interior design. Thank you for sharing that. Off to make a coffee now and dream of having a conservatory.
  12. Miele are fantastic. Recently bought a washing maching and a tumble dryer both Miele. Washing time is cut down so much and the clothes are brilliantly clean and not screwed up anymore, plus most have a honeycomb drum which means there are no holes in it. Guaranteed for 10 years (5 years when bought and an extra 5 if you send away your guarantee card), built to last 20 years all parts for all machines guaranteed to be stocked for many years. Mine has hand-wash and delicates, shirts, denim loads of gizmo's. Very very heavy machines so don't get if you want to constantly pull them out. Expensive too, but you really do get what you pay for with Miele. Also as Merle says do look at Revoo, they have good reviews and opinions and give the energy ratings. Another interesting fact, so I am told by the fitters, is that they never get to take away a Miele to recondition, people keep them forever.
  13. So very sad to hear this Run free at the Bridge Snatch free from any pain and worry and have fun with all the doglets there for Cindy, Steve and Ruby Our thoughts are with you x
  14. When we adopted our old Staffie we knew he was on the way to being incontinent, but as it got worse we tried him out with a crate next to us, we then moved the crate from the bedroom to the kitchen (we have a bungalow so not that far, really) and he seemed to like the idea of having somewhere to be which was all his own and he did not seem so stressed that he had had an accident. I would definately give it a try for a couple of nights and if she does not like it you don't have to force her to use it. You could also try a play pen as I think someone has already suggested or a child gate so that you can confine her to one room and stop her wandering.
