Whatever the rescues do or do not do unless there is a sudden change in the world greyhound racing and puppy farming is going to continue because they make money. At least for a certain number of dogs their lives will be save from a possible horrific death and they will know love because of the rescues taking them.

many years ago my grandmother had a stroke that took her speak and one side of side. She had made me promise that they would not take her into hospital to try and save her but to nurse her at home as long as possible. With the help of the doctor and then district nurse we did just that and she died with my three year old son sitting on the bed and me holding her hand. The look of thanks and love on her face was fantastic.My little son,s words were nanny is looks happy to be with jesus. My mum refused medication and died as she had lived in control and dignified. I have a living will now legal that under certain conditions I do not want medical help.I really do not want to die in hospital among strangers. Not so a long a family chose not to contintue cancer treatment apart from pain management for their toddler I admired them for their choice. Do not think there is any real right or wrong as each person will see thinks differently

I know that when patricia has a period its a nightmare and very unpleasent for the whole family at times.we have a pattern and mostly we can stick to it but if it is changed in anyway she struggles to cope. Patricia,t birth mum who is the same as patricia has had six children and all six have been taken into care four after abuse and two at birth plus she is still only in thirties and can have more children.All but two of the children have some degree of learning difficulties.But has a solicitor who says its her and her husband also with learning difficulties right to have a normal life.Yes think its great they are happy and get a lot of help BUT What about the children,s human right to have a normal life with family?If you knew what my four kids had suffered because someone in social services just plain did not see beyond polical politness Patricia could never care for a child and knows this she forgets things if not told constandly and has poor co-ordination.Fantastic kid but will need care all her life . Until had these kids would have say it was wrong now changed my mind .

I remember so well when my first baby was born my older sister in law was so bossy about you let babies cry and feed them only at set times I shed tears of fustration as poor david not knowing any better would also tell me off.But stuck to my guns and carried him about in a sling breast feeding him anytime he wanted.I was a bit of a hippy then. Now a he is a good 40yr father himself and always coming to see us. The other children born at home and brought up the same way.Although would say that the big old prams were great and mine did spent quite a lot of time outside in garden sleeping or just playing in theirs.It was a much safer world.
