Have fun at The Bridge beautiful for her owners

We are very lucky to have my mother in law and her partner to look after Murphy they love him to bits and we have to take him down to see them every Sunday for an hour and Tony ( Partner ) cann't wait to have him for the 2 weeks he keeps asking what time he is coming and i have told him umteen times he has a bed there next to him and always has treats galour for Murph so i am completely happy to leave him there as i know he is happy but i just wish Murph would look a little bit sad to leave me But oh no not Murph I have been taking his food and mixer down over the last couple of weeks all he needs now ,i think, is toys

Lovely pics Murphy is like that in the snow or rain he was rolling in the snow at weekend which i wasn't happy about at the time as he had his housecoat on when he did it Little Dilys could get lost in it as she is so very tiny

We go on holiday on Sunday to Kenya for 2 weeks and i cann't wait !!!! I will miss Murphy but he doesn't care as he stays with my Mother in law and her partner who he loves to bits So i am busy packing his bits up ready and i honestly think he needs even more than me to go away with He has a lot of stuff there already such as a bed bowls treats and such like which are always there as he likes his sleepovers Does a dog need this much i always ask muyself and the answer is as usual Yes he does He makes me laugh when he gets dropped off there as we don't get a backward look from him I suppose its good that he is happy to stay there but it would be nice to be missed a tiny bit

It was the people who said to me after my beautiful Bandit went to The Bridge " he was just a dog " that made me cry more because they hadn't had the complete unconditional love of "just a dog "

Belated Happy GOTCHA DAY beautiful

He will be five this year and is quite an active dog he goes out 3 times a day, at least, through the week then at weekends he comes out with my friend and me and Murphy and we are out for 2 hours or more both days and Paddy is running with Murphy for the 2 hours at the moment they have reduced his meal and he doesn't get many treats at all maybe at the weekend but through the week he just gets the one meal in the evening which he is used to

My friends Goldie was at the vets last week for his booster and yearly check up and they were told he is over weight not by a great ammount but enough and she was wondering if there is a good food that would be better for him and help him lose weight ?? he is quite a large Goldie and is a bit greedyto say the least at the moment they have reduced his ammount of food Any ideas out there ?

Poor little man thank goodness he is now safe

Thanks all for you help and concern over Murphy today he seems to be almost back to normal he ate chicken last night and is acting as if i have starved him he has also played with his toys which with Murph is a good sign I was wondering if there could be any connetion between human bugs and dogs ? As i can not think where Murph could have got this from He is still sleeping a lot but i will ask the vet when he goes for his annual check up on Saturday Once again thaks for your help and concern when i needed it From Kay and Murphy x

Thanks for that Yes i think thats how he is feeling he was sick so much that he feels drained and doesn't want to do anything except sleep there is one good sign to-day i was eating an apple earlier and he did his normal trick of the Murphy stare which he hasn't done since he was sick anyway i am going to try him on chicken for his dinner later so fingers crossed

Thats what we are doing keeping our eye on him today then deciding but he is due for his check up at the weekend so might try to get him in before then To-day he has perked up and tried to play but doesn't seem to have the energy

Many thanks for all the advice he seems to be a bit better this morning as last night he ate a tiny bit of scrambled egg and today a small ammount of light food but he appears to have hurt his throat with retching so very much ( and it was a lot it was literally all night every half hour or so ) and is finding it hard to swallow so i am tempting him with small ammounts of soft food today he doesn't want to play and is spending most of his time on the settee sleeping Poor Murph a very sad looking dog at the moment

Theres always one isn't there and two were being so good Lovely photos and so funny

Thanks for all your advice he is sleeping on the settee and just seems to want to sleep himself better Poor little man he doesn't want to play but after last night i am not surprised ,i just want to go to bed i am so tired

I have spent the night sat next to Murphy as he was sick all night .It started yesterday but only twice in the afternoon so i thought he had been eating grass It was when he didn't eat his dinner last night it started worse then he was throwing up all night just bile but a lot of times he has now stopped and is lying on the settee looking a lot more relaxed than he did all night so i am hoping that whatever it was has been got rid of .I am staying in with him to-day not going out as planned and my OH has told me to ring him if he starts again and we will get him to the vet I need some sleep !!! Anyone have any ideas on when i should offer him any food and what would be best for him after a night of throwing up It was a horrid night and he looks all sad and forlorn And the washer is now on full of dog blankets and towels

I was watching Murphy playing this morning and after Christmas his toy box has grown Does anyone elses dog have as many toys as this or is Murph one spoilt dog He tipped the whole thing upside down to-day to find his favourite toy and i don't think they are all there He does play a lot which is a good job really with this many

Oh the beautiful Tillee I was only thinking of her the other day she is a STAR and looks so so good I love Tillee

Ah well Murphy killed his Christmas chicken yesterday as well but got no pics as he hid while he did it he just ripped its head off
