Oh no, so sorry. At least he'll have someone with him at the end who cares for him. Also had he not been rescued then he would have had to suffer his illness to the end - with no-one doing the kindest thing for him by letting him go peacefully. It sounds to me like a touch of colitis. Blaze my collie x gets it from time to time and a previous collie I had suffered with it. Can be stress related, usually a bland diet sorts it out. Just my opinion, no expert. Juliex
