  2. What are your gadgets that you actually use that makes life easier? I have no real grip so peeling potatoes has always been a nightmare, Dad always said a family could have another meal out of my peelings cos I had to do it with a knife instead of a peeler. Not any more.. please welcome my new peeler, Peter... Bought from tescos last week, where has he been all my life, gosh its just so easy!! So whats yours???

  11. Good Morning. Had a busy weekend at the woodvale show and am buggered. Barney came with me on Saturday and was an angel, with all the folk who had never seen a dog so large and he must have been downloaded off a million cameras with the amount of photos took. Perry did Sunday in his puggy and stole the show again, in the morning as the wind was so cold he wore his superdog coat, he certainly did his bit telling about the world of rescue and how not all rescue dogs are mongrels. Poor Barry slept over there whilst I came home to the comfort of my bed, he says never again as the tent flapped all night and his airbed deflated, I see a tent for sale in the very near future lol!
  12. I wanted to write something deep and meaningful but cant find the words, you used them all in your tribute to your wonderful son Matthew. God Bless you all xx

  14. Been in bed for hours and cant sleep so thought I would get up again, have redyed my hair a very nice shade of dark purple (mm could start a pop group, oh no that name has already been took lol), and now on a brew and some very nice strawberries and cream shortbread. It looks like lazydisy should have gone to bed earlier though as she has travelled through the time barrier, but hey it could well nearly be the 1st August somewhere in the world
  15. Bless her, and look at that hair, she is beautiful
  16. the storm over us was fantastic last night, no rain, no thunder just a terrific light show, Matt and I were up until after 2 am watching it, woke up this morning to a beautiful day outside
  17. This letter is hitting all the local press letters columns so thought I would copy it here as well, time is getting closer for it and would hate for anyone to miss out Dear Editor, The Red Paw is a tiny badge worn by dog handlers alongside their regimental badge when working as part of the Army Dog Unit Northern Ireland. An Association was formed last October and has been an overwhelming success. The main objective was to fund a new memorial for their colleagues and dogs, killed in NI whilst working with the ADU NI, for this to be placed at a prominent public site. The funding was achieved during the first three months of 2009, solely from members’ donations and friends, and the new memorial is to be unveiled at a ceremony on 1st August 2009 at the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas, Staffordshire. We would desperately like to find more handlers before August 1, 2009, so they too will have the opportunity to take part in the very final event of the ADU history. website; www.armydogunit-ni.co.uk Email; [email protected] Robert Shevill Carnarc Crescent, Inverness,
  18. Sorry to hear about little Laylas problems, you always feel so helpless dont you. Re the club feet, my nephew Dominic was also born with club fee 11 years ago, he had to wear litle splints for a while and did endure a couple of ops on them...but.... at the age of 11 he is working toward his black belt in karate, plays football for the school team, plays rugby and cricket and is an all round sport fanatic and I am sure in the eleven years since he was born things have come on in the treatment. Sending huge hugs to all your family, and more importantly Layla and her Mummy xx
  19. I had until recently a litle C2 and loved it, went forever on a tank of fuel, the rear seats split and also moved backwards and forwards and folded up completley to give a huge space if the dogs need to go in there, loads of storage space and so easy to drive and park, I miss my little car.
  20. But snowy one a great aunt is wayyyyyyy older than a granny, ask loo
  21. What a lovely name, welcome to the grandma corner, you sure have a beautiful grand daughter to start you off with Welcome little Layla, and well done mum and dad xx
