  1. My friend did that after her OH's wonderful recommendation. She just felt thoroughly sick, it didn't do anything else at all!
  2. Sorry to hear that Jayne, when I suggested the frying pan, I thought you were going to use it in the garden, not carry it round the streets . How far did you have to carry it full of wee to get home? Or did you take it straight to the vets?!

    Rimadyl

Yay for the frying pan, hope the results are ok

    Rimadyl

Has the vet actually read the leaflet that comes with the drugs? Clearly there are other side effects, it baffles me that "ordinary" owners know about this and yet some vets don't. Surely they shouldn't prescribe things without knowing what *might* happen. I know many animals take this seemingly without problems, but that's really not the point. As to catching a urine sample, I've seen a frying pan recommended - held underneath while they're weeing - but you may want to use a pan you're not going to want to cook with again!

    Rimadyl

I'd be very relunctant to use Rimadyl too, unless it was a very old dog or a dog where there was really never any other choice. I would give your vet a call first thing tomorrow. Unfortunately *some* vets do seem happy to prescribe it very easily.
  6. Wombat, very sorry you haven't received the news you were hoping for . I hope you will find happiness
  7. Jayne, will PM you with the Tropicana email address.
  8. Hello Rachel and Oscar (and Mark!) - lovely to see you here You've noticed your dog is famous on here then? Hi to Kirsty and your lovely staffie too
  9. Does anyone know if it's "appropriate" to wear a pair of trousers and a nice top to a (church) wedding, rather than a dress? I'm just one of the guests, no one important, but I really don't do dresses. I do have one dress I really like but it's mostly black, so probably not very suitable. Am hoping to avoid buying something I'll never wear again and probably won't feel comfortable in!
  10. Lovely photo Laura I love it when doggies snuggle up together. Three of ours often share the sofa - Sweetie tends to like an armchair all to herself .
  11. Why can't you have a signature Anne? RMF - my husband has got me a hipflask (for free ). I haven't seen it yet but I've always wanted one. I think they're very cool . RMF2 I am going to watch "A Lot Like Love" on Sky later - it sounds cool.
  12. Only just seen this Edith, hope all is going well
  13. I thought Kathy was just listing them for information in case anyone was interested
  14. I have emailed the Sun, don't know if it will help.
  15. I was just looking at the photo on the Dogslost listing - it looks quite "stretched" in comparison to the one of Levi that allie has posted on this thread. I thought Levi looked more mastiff like in the dogslost photo, longer legs etc., until I saw the real staffie looking one on here. Is it just me thinking that?

    Diabetic Dog

Fee, I thought these would generally be done at home. It would cost a fortune to visit the vets every day for an appointment wouldn't it? Can you go along with her to the vet to be shown how to do it one day?
  17. That sounds rather nice. I love curling up in an armchair with a dog and watching an old tv programme
  18. I think the Sun is a great idea, they seem very focused on animal related issues at the moment. I will email them later too.
  19. I've got a nedache Congratulations and and as appropriate so I don't miss anyone. Badges are taking over the world
  20. Sorry to hear about Babe, Uke Hello to new RMF people Hope BCW finds her collie!!!
