  1. I did a thorough search of the garden and surrounding area yesterday but apparently they were all loose last week. The cold will have finished the guinea pigs off or the foxes, I doubt they'll turn up now but I've alerted the street to watch out for anything
  2. Her name's Maisy! I just called her a gremlin cos she looks like one
  3. Yesterday I decided there was just way too much needed doing at home so I took the afternoon off, mainly to clear a load of rubbish out of the loft and down to the tip. All was going well until about 3pm when a neighbour alerted me to the fact that the young couple a few doors down were doing a flit from their rented house and she was worried that there were animals going to be left behind or dumped. I ended up with 3 emaciated young rabbits and a rather odd looking staffy bitch 2 of the rabbits are borderline whether they'll make it, the other is probably ok just very thin. Another rabbit and a few guinea pigs are nowhere to be seen, presumed let out and vanished The little staffy is, well, what can only be described as a gremlin! Meet Maisy: She's 18 months old and it's looking increasingly likely that she suffers from dwarfism. She has characteristic deformed bone structure and is tiny, about the size of an 8 month old pup. She is, however, very cute and Dylan is scared of her Hopefully we have a few possible homes in the offer but she will need to see my vet tomorrow for a definite diagnosis and she needs to be spayed first. Please wish our sweet little Gremlin good luck, she needs it
  4. Tw*t features My ex had the same as you Claire, his gall stone was too big to dissolve so they took his gall baldder out completely. Up to the op and for a couple of weeks after he had to watch his diet (no fatty stuff etc) but afterwards he was back to completely normal diet and no problems. Basically they bypass your gall bladder so that instead of your gut getting bile 'on demand' it has a supply fed direct to it. Good luck
  5. On way to Post Office this morning (ebay sales!) I passed a woman walking a wolfhound and 2 jack russels, twas a rather odd sight
  6. I'm not laughing, honest I was rather looking forward to hurtling to the rescue in the Beast too Glad you found the keys.... norty Bob MEL!!!
  7. Just spent a bizarre half hour 'herding' a loose lurcher and dodging traffic with it trying to stop it getting hit Finally got her to come to me by playing (I must have looked like a complete loon rolling around on the path!) and away from the main road, found her owner and little Stella is now safely home and in one piece We have swapped numbers just in case as they live just up the road from me. Owner's mate keeps greyhounds and whippets so he's keeping my number just in case... uh-oh
  8. I am going to muck out the beasties then have a cold shower. I am sure the cold shower will be invigorating and good for my skin but I'd much prefer hot water!!
  9. Money Saving Expert http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/ fantastic site!
  10. Engineer has been. Central heating side of the boiler is working fine but there's a problem when it switches over to hot water. Needs to be stripped down and valves replaced. They can't do it today, it'll be Monday morning. Poo. On the plus side, at least we have heating again so the hounds are going to be comfy - that's my priority Oh, and the microwave just went bang It comes in threes..... uh-oh....
  11. I have no idea what's been going on so to everyone This week I have had a huge momentand am finally sorting out the horrendous financial mess that the ex left me with. It's going to take a long time but I am determined that I WILL be debt free.
