  1. Are more than welcome to join us for a walk any time you wish Its a wonderful place to walk. The lake is surrounded by various paths through various landscape types. Can walk for 30 mins or for hours. Its great
  2. Hes 18" at the mo, weighing 20 kilos. Is going to be one BIG lad. Thats my back garden Amberswood in Wigan.
  3. Out and about today. Enjoying the water. Tired poop. Do not disturb.
  4. I, personally, would prefer the BBC to be more indepth in next years coverage. To follow up on the expose. Keep the pressure on the KC to make changes. Pay more attention to the dogs in the ring and put pressure on judges of certain breeds to be more attentive. Show the judging of the GSDs and the likes. Let the general public see if any changes have been made. The dogs can't be changed over night, but the KC rules and regs can be. If it scares breeders away - let them go - and the KC will stand for the good in dogs again.
  5. I see big things in this poopies future
  6. He will be up for rehoming shortly if any interested parties
  7. Tye is 4 months of lovely slobbery DDB x Bull dog. A rather smelly poopie that didnt agree he needed a wash. All sweet smelling now He has a rather large hernia. Happy in his crate. Lovely smile. Saying hello. I'm a wee bit smitten by this lad. Hes a real jelly baby
  8. Poor lad Sending healing thoughts. Any more news on how he is doing?
  9. Larry has come to us via a dog warden, with a history of being a hard working dog, so I'd guess not cat friendly. He's such a happy little soul, his tail's always wagging I'd guess he's probably straight Staffy x Greyhound. He's around 4 years old, but is prematurely greying around his muzzle....the rest of his body shows how fit he is. Larry has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered, he gets on well with all dogs that he has met,he is clean in the house and no probs when left He's a really lovely little dog and would make a great family pet as he adores people and children. He deserves a loving home to retire to after his working days and to have a comfy sofa of his own Can anyone offer little Larry a home of his own? Ring 01422 240168 or email : [email protected] For more info on Larry, look here Larrys thread.
  10. Guy is a big GSD type Lurcher with a lovely deep black coat. He's about 27-28 ins tall and about 3 years old now. He is vaccinated and neutered. Guy is absolutely fine here with me, my family and the various other dogs we have around ....BUT....he has been returned to rescue twice now for biting at kids.... so Guy absolutely MUST NOT be allowed near children or teenagers as he gets so stressed out by them that his response is to growl and snap This is a condition of his rehoming and Jim Greenwood has said he will do a "rehoming package" for Guy and would like to be involved with his rehoming, in order to make it as easy as possible. Guy is not a novice's dog - he needs a strong leader who will keep him in line....but he's a lovely dog, very, very loyal and loving and (strange to say) very trustworthy in every other way. Given the right home, he would make someone a fantastic dog who would be a joy to have around. He's a really "honest" dog, with good manners and behaviour, clean in his kennel (and was in the house), good on walks on and off lead, but NOT cat friendly. Guy deserves another chance to enjoy life in a more relaxed environment - maybe as an only dog, or with a steady companion. If you'd like to know more about Guy, please get in touch, he is currently @ Lurcher Link in Yorkshire atm - email [email protected], pm me or ring 01422 240168. For more info on guy, please look here. Guys thread. Guy has been looking for that perfect home for a while now He really needs a place to call his own.

    Jack.

    Jack has now been rehomed
  12. Congratulations to you both. May you have a long and happy marriage. You look beautiful!
  13. Franny and Lucy alert us to everything. Even noises in the garden. Our own personal alarm system
  14. The KC should feel utterly ashamed of themselves tonight. Something drastic needs to be done, and it needs to be done now!
  15. My Saluki/grey has back troubles so cant run. Or do you mean the Borzoi? lol. Westhaughton
  16. LURCHER!! Lottie is just fabulous! Even the tri pods enjoy themselves.
  17. Not sure I can agree with abuse - still making my mind up. But neglect is just as serious. And she has neglected her childs health.
  18. It would have to be the child, no doubt. I don't even think it would take a seconds thought either.
  19. Puppys went out for the first time Playing chase. Testing the breaks. Loola. Lottie. Jack. Tucker. Jack and Loola waiting patiently for treats. Bitey face. Group shot. Lottie, Jack, Loola and Tucker. Stand off.
  20. Completely agree with you Snow But if the numbers were more viewable? Maybe just posters in a 'did you know' fashion?

    Jack.

Jack is a beautiful 10 week old lurcher pup. Hes an absolute treasure! Currently living with young kids, cats and other dogs. He is very playful, and with access to the garden is 90% clean in the house. As with all pups, Jack will need someone home with him for most of the time. He has his 2nd vax this week, has been wormed and flea treated. He currently sleeps crated at night and is generally quiet over night. Jack is being rehomed via Lurcherlink. He is currently in Wigan. If you'd like to know more about Jack, ring 01422 240168 or email: [email protected]
  22. Staffies are a huge problem round here. I visited at WAWs latest nuetering meet a couple of weekends ago, and every person that came in with a staff had plans for breeding No matter how many times they were told of the numbers being PTS or in rescue, it didnt matter. Their dogs were not going to be like that!
