Pendlewitch
Jumble has a black spot in the brown bit of his eye, it's at the bottom and doesn't move. It's about the size of a pencil eraser and very noticeable so it has appeared suddenly, it doesn't move at all and is not bothering him. Off to vet tomorrow but does anyone have any ideas in the meantime!
houndzrus
sorry, no idea, but I hope it gets sorted quickly.
Karen
My old girl April had a cyst in the iris of her eye. It didn't grow after we noticed it, didn't affect her eyesight and didn't need any treatment. Hope that Jumble's spot is similarly non-problematic
collies r best
Izzie has a very dark brown spot on the white of her eye which was caused by an accident when she was a pup.She was running flat out and smacked straight into a wooden fence post causing a lot of trauma to her eye.Vets were worried she'd lose her sight in that eye but luckily she recovered well and just has this mark. Could it possibly be a scar or could he have bumped his eye? Edited October 13, 2011 by collies r best
Pendlewitch
Oooo yes, that's an idea! Jumble does not walk in straight lines, he twirls and spins wildly. He's always bashing into trees, car bumpers and regrettably, old ladies. He could have easily done it crashing into any of his chosen targets, well not the old ladies! gooster
Sounds like it could be an iris prolapse or something. How did you get on at the vets today?

Pendlewitch
Vet said it may break up and disappear on it's own! I think it's showing signs of disintegration but it may be wishful thinking! If it's not gone or vastly different by Friday, (next day off) I'll be taking him back.
